Thank you for your comments.
Well done to you....
The more that people pester these co's the more chance of them closing down.
Yes. I work in a disputes department at a major bank and have been dealing with these companies on and off for over 3 years ever since Acai berry become a fad....
Now this has moved to diet pills, face cream and now.... Male releated products, muscle releated
So it is no longer a female preserve to be turned over...
The only good thing about them keeping debiting is that it costs them money and Visa/mastercard will at some point pull their access to take funds...
Till they spring up under a new name
I would love to see the back of these companies.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
I have also been duped into buying the deadsea beauty kit and collagenta. It said Free Trial just pay postage. There were so many pages to read and as I ordered I didn't see any terms and conditions. On page 2 of 6 pages there is a heading which says Conclusion: "follow the links to the free trials of Dead Sea Kit and Collagenta and know that you are getting quality products that work; NO STRINGS ATTACHED". Wouldn't you think that they are FREE at just the cost of postage and that after you try them out it is up to the customer whether they want to order more.
I have been in touch by email to this so called company and have sent about a dozen emails. I have been threatened with a fraud investigation by them if I dispute the charges with my bank like someone else mentioned in a previous message. Since my last email mentioning the Conclusion heading etc., I haven't heard anything from them. My bank has communicated with them to make chargeback under their terms and conditions.
I wont hold my breath.0 -
Has anyone else noticed on Facebooks there is an advertisement remarkably like the Dead Sea one, using the same format but different names for products. LIFT SERUM PRO and LIFT AND GLOW PRO0

Well...me too. Yes, very stupid etc etc.
Contacted my bank within 30 min to stop the card, explained the situation, confirmed it in email and also contacted the rogue company to cancel the order.
They shouldn't be able to take any more payments (they'd got the £3.95 by the time I rang the bank) but if in some way they can and do, the bank says I then have to enter into dispute, which of course I will do.
God, what an unnecessary learning curve this has been/is going to be.:idea:0 -
I find it amazing how so many people on here are happy with companies scamming people by hiding important information in the T&C's.0

I've read this thread a bit more deeply now. I think I have done the right things to mitigate the situation by
Contacting the bank and telling them the details of this scam (and it is a scam in so many ways)
Cancelling the card (although I realise that this might not stop them taking more money, but I am interested to know exactly HOW they do this)
Contacting the company within 10 minutes to explicitly cancel the order (although I realise it could fall on deaf ears).
Would there be any merit in ringing the UK number, identifying myself and stating clearly that I will take matters further with trading standards, the ASA, the police etc if they proceed. Even if the terms and conditions are strictly legal, the set-up as a whole clearly is not.
I've already discussed the possibility of the dispute process with the bank. My bank is Santander and I hope they'll be helpful if it comes to it. I have a horrible feeling it will and there's about to be a nightmare.
How long do these people keep trying to charge you for? Does it go on for months or do they take just one or two payments?:idea:0 -

But surely everyone can see that this company are hoping that you don't read their Ts & Cs and just go ahead and order. It is simply making you think that you are ordering a free sample with just p&p charges via a well known online company, ie Amazon, which you think you can trust to be fair in all ways.0 -

VAU (Visa Account Updater)
This is a system put in place by them (Mastercard have one too). This allows retailers processing CPA to simply request the new card details and transfer the payment to it.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

Under distance selling the company has to pay for return postage.
ebay gave me £10 compensation when a seller didn't refund postage.0 -
If they make it difficult or impossible to return the goods by forcing people to return them to Israel, that is not in any way a fair term or condition.
If the goods arrive and they are, as some have said, used or contravene labelling and quality laws, that is not a fair term or condition.
If you click no autorefill on the account and they continue to send products and bill you for them, that is not fair terms and conditions.
FSA terms state that you have the right to cancel a CPA with the bank if you have informed the company you do not wish to continue transactions and they ignore it.:idea:0
