I cancelled the card, not replaced it. Not had a new one reissued. It's cancelled, account closed, no new card issued. They have nowhere to charge now.

If they process the debit as a CPA (continuous payment authority).
    It can reopen the account.....

Please do not think that what you have done will stop them.

Make your bank aware and the problem can be solved without causing you a lot of trouble setting up a new account etc.

However, after reading all the complaints Icontacted the Police who asked me to contact Canadian Anti-Fraud Agency. Theyopened a file and asked me to cancel my credit card immediately, scan thecomputer for malware and cancel my email. I did all this and returned theproduct to the sender in Ontario without any additional cost to me. I amplanning to contact CBC Marketplace as well. If you feel you got scammed reportit!

Mmmm ....... also got scammed by this company. Contacted my Bank and we are now in dispute.

I sent this e-mail to them the other day:

'First of all my name is not Jacki, and you have taken £97.95 from my account. I have been in touch with Trading Standards and your company is being investigated.
I have contacted my Bank and am disputing this charge. I have been on to your website and cancelled any further refills. You have no signature that I even received this product so you cannot even prove that I received it. Put the money back into my account and I will not take you to the Small Claims Court.'

I had been e-mailing them for a long time and the last e-mail they sent to me, was to a person called Jacki.

    This is their reply:

'We have processed your refund for you. Please allow between 2-3 working days for this to show up in your account.'

Really wish i'd seen this site 2 months ago before I stupidly ordered the dead sea beauty kit and the collagenta 'goo':(
Ok so They took two payments from my debit card yesterday each one for over £97.00 so now I am overdrawn at the bank by £200.
Yes I'm stupid, no,I didnt read the 'tiny print'.
I have spoken with my bank who will be watching for further payments, they can't refund the ones that have already been taken. I emailed both companies today within their 'support' section. As yet I haven't had a reply:(
I'm at a loss what to do next, I can't afford these amounts and sending the products back to Israel sounds expensive too.
I have read all your comments. I would be grateful for someone to tell me of their success story and how they did it and how they got their money back please.
Do I return these to the uk address posted earlier or do I just hang onto them or what_pale_
    Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhh stupid stupid woman!!

Firstly I would like to say THANK YOU to all that have posted previously on this matter, your comments have helped me enormously.

I was also "duped" by this advertisement and ordered both Collagenta Serum and Dead Sea Beauty Kit....
I didn't realise they were the same company at first but then they both arrived in the same jiffy bag via DPD (UK)

I had a try of the Collagenta and my eyes began watering! Thanks to good old google I found this forum/debate.... This wasn't the news I was expecting!

I hadn't a clue anything was amiss until i read the comments on here!

First stop was my bank RBS Disputes - funny that when I told them there were two payments I had recently made and that I didn't want any future payments to be allowed, they instantly knew which ones they were! They told me that they would monitor my account and if any payments were requested, the bank would automatically refund my money :) They also said that if I cancelled my card "they" (Dead Sea) would still be able to money off my NEW card!

At least they are monitoring it, so I feel safe that I will incur no additional charges :)

So I just need to contact Dead Sea now and get the stuff returned to them.

I found this address at the bottom of a reservation email they sent me: DS Marketing Ltd., 788-790 Finchley Road London, NW11 7TJ

I will post back my result so that any future "Mugs" oooops "Customers" may be able to benefit from my experience.

But, don't their T and C's say you must post to Isreal if you return?

I have had an email back saying they are prepared to give me a £50 refund provided I send it back to Israel!
  • I'm yet another gullible fool who's recently fallen for the word 'free' and the dead sea scam!

Luckily I realised something was amiss and found this site well before the 14 days were up. I've raised a dispute with my bank over the potential future payment as I've no intention of letting them rip me off. I've also no intention of sending the rubbish back to Israel, I'm in email discussion with them over providing a UK address, as the goods clearly originated from the UK.

I've also been reading consumer advise on the Citizen's Advice website. There's some interesting stuff there about 'unfair terms and conditions', and trying to force you to return items to Israel is clearly 'unfair' in anyone's book.

I've already had one offer of keeping the stuff at a 'special price' - I'll be interested to see what their reply to my latest email entails.

I found an advert on facebook, asking for women between certain ages to trial products. I assumed - stupidly - from this Daily Skin Care website that it was like being a product tester. To the right of the questions asked, it said,
"Companies want you to try their product.
All products are free to try.
Risk-free - all products are safe
Some products include a small postage charge."

I ordered two and paid postage for them: Collagenta and Rejuvenex. Both arrived two days later. My daughter then alerted me to the charges I might face. I confess I hadn't read the terms & conditions!

I've emailed both companies, a week after receiving the products, telling them I will return the products to UK addresses (will do it with signature required) and have told them they are not authorised to take any further funds from my card. I've also contacted my Mastercard provider who say they will block further payments, but that if any do go through, to phone their disputes department.

Just hope this is sufficient to stop them ripping me off! I feel such an idiot!
