Received my cheque today and in the same post a letter from the ombudsman stating that they had informed AQUA of my complaint and would take action if the matter was not sorted out.

The Boss and Starline had stated that I would be wasting the Ombudsmans time but have now ben proved wrong.

I will be writing to thank the Ombudsman after my cheque has been cleared at my bank.

During one of my many phone calls to AQUA I had told them that I would be informing the ombudsman and they offered me £20 in compensation for the delay. I accepted this and it was paid into my bank 2 days later.

I have now got my cheque plus the £20 ---well pleased.

I got my cheque today without wasting the ombudsman office's time, indicating that I have been proved right.

Well, I've been patiently waiting and doing naff all for the last two months, not getting worried, not getting annoyed, not phoning anyone, and I also received my cheque today, so I've been proved right as well.

Same here, not said a word to them, I've let them take their time, received cheque today :)

I'm actually quite surprised, considering the T&Cs mention rounding down to the nearest £5, I got the full, non-rounded figure.

That was based on your spending in each year though. When they withdrew the offer they had to pay based on actuals.

Received my cashback cheque on Saturday 15th March, posted it to Coventry BS (current account), on Monday 17th March, have just checked online and it has been credited today, 20th March.

Also phoned the Coventry and asked was there any problems but could only get, "as long as the money is in the account it will be cleared for withdrawal 28th March".

So not rejected, will just have to see if it clears OK.

    .

Cheque cleared and available for withdrawal from today.

Postman has just delivered me a cheque from Aqua
(despite them taking my bank details last month saying they would credit my bank account directly)

    Cheque dated 25 March 2014 ... and expires 31 August 2014

Cheque has 6 digit cheque number, 6 digit sort code, and 8 digit account number

Got my cheque this morning :)

Got home today to find a letter from Aqua - surely this is the cheque right??

    NO!

I sent a secure message on 20th March chasing up the whereabouts of my cheque.

    Here is their reponse:

"Thank you for your email received 20 March 2014 regarding your Aqua reward account.

Please be advised that we are able to refund this to you at your request and will require a bank account and sort code to do so. Please provide this either in writing stating your address on the letter or alternatively by contacting us on the number below"

Will give them a call but don't expect anything to happen as a previous poster mentioned they did this and ended up with a cheque 2 weeks later.

I always expected to get the full amount. The *payment* each year was rounded down, but the leftover cashback carried forward into the following year. As the account was being closed and this was the final payment, there would be no following year to carry the remainder over into, so I'm not at all surprised to receive the full amount.
