It's the total lack of info from them that I find most irritating.0

Account still shows £100 in credit. So nothing happened yet.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Mine shows a "credit balance refund" on the 4th March.
No cheque yet though.......0 -
I have now had a reply from the Ombudsman who tell me to expect a reply from Aquacard in the next few days or if not I can write to Ms Michelle Hooking, Progressive Credit Limited, Opus Customer Services, PO Box 136, Sheffield, S98 1HB. After 8 weeks The Financial Ombudsman will take action ! Will let you know what happens next ! I have just spoken with Opus customer services who deny they have anything to do with the Aquacard although they have virtually the same address and are both owned by Progressive Credit Limited who also own dozens of other companies under different names. Looks like it could be a hard slog to get our money!0

I am an Aqua card holder who declined the lower cashback terms. I phoned them up last month to see what would happen to the caskback as I had a small balance left to pay. They said is WOULDN'T be credited, I should pay as normal and they'd send a cheque.
This month I see my £80 of cashback HAS been credited. I also have a "Credit Balance Refund" of £47.62 debited from the account, leaving a credit of £33.01 - which is the same as the debit balance of my last statement.
So I assume I will get 2 cheques: One for 47.62, the other later on for 33.01.
I hope I don't have to chase it as I just failed their security (couldn't remember password for what I consider to be a "closed" account and cancelled DD so didn't know if I had one). So if I want to talk to them I have to shell out for 3 photocopies of documents and a stamp!
All these extra customer service queries and cheques must be costing Aqua money. Doesn't seem like they planned this very well.
On reading further back I think I will give it until this weekend until cheque #1 appears before complaining.0 -
To start with I thought it was just a question of waiting for the cheque to turn up. Now, I'll eat my hat if the cheque arrives.
:rotfl:me too! It does bring some excitement to the drive home though, and the discussion of will it be there on the doormat today!Having a Consumer Holiday 2015:A0 -
I have just sent this secure message to Aqua:
"More than two months has now elapsed since you closed my account. My latest statement shows a refund of credit balance dated 4th March 2014, but I have yet to receive that refund, which is the amount of cash back you still owe me. Please treat this message as a formal complaint about the ridiculous amount of time the refund is taking and reply IN WRITING either by email or post. Please DO NOT respond asking me to call you, or try to contact me by telephone, as I require all communication in writing so that I can pursue my case further through either the Ombudsman or the County Court if necessary."
I'm not holding my breath!0 -
Does anyone know if the cards have definitely been cancelled? I'm still receiving statements, the latest of which shows I've been credited with my cashback (about £80), but it doesn't say anything about the account being closed. I'm tempted to try using my card and spending that money...0

Around 6 weeks ago it said I could spend £0. Now it says I can spend £250 (my old credit limit). Highly doubt it would be accepted if used though.0 -
I have phoned them twice this time and every time they say the check is in the post and that there has been some confusion.
I wonder if I can take them to small claims court!0
