I sent them a secure message yesterday...will be interested to see if they write asking me to call.

I don't really expect a reply, I just wanted to remind them that I haven't forgotten..!

Ditto. You'd sure as hell hear from them in a hurry if you hadn't paid them in time and that'd certainly be sooner than 2 months.
  • In the same boat here, sent a secure message about 1 week ago, still no reply.

Not much point offering a secure message service if they just ask you to ring them!

I did this too, their means of communication is effing hopeless.

Has anybody received a letter recently thanking them for closing their account? It's my fourth letter without a cheque from them since I was expecting a cheque, and says:
I can confirm that this will be closed as requested on 21 February 2014.

Firstly, it wasn't requested, though I guess that's just rhetoric.

Secondly, the letter was dated 18th March. What an absolute joke.

I'm not an apologist for Aqua, but to be honest their inability to give an accurate date for sending out my free money is not something I'm bothered about - provided it does turn up, and I have no cause to doubt that it will.
Having monitored this thread, I am now actually beginning to have doubts that the cheque will in fact materialise.

I see no need to phone Aqua yet though - this thread is far more informative than the Aqua advisor would be.

To start with I thought it was just a question of waiting for the cheque to turn up. Now, I'll eat my hat if the cheque arrives.

I'm not quite that pessimistic. I reckon it'll probably turn up at some point within the next month or so, but it won't be a big surprise if it doesn't.

I let my account lapse but have not received a cheque yet. Left them a secure message over the weekend and got an answerphone message today asking me to ring them. Will wait to see if this cheque run today produces anything. Not received any communication from them since my last statement.
