You're right!
I never noticed that. I thought it was rounded down to the nearest £5 boundary and the rest was lost. But I just checked my statement and it did roll over the remainder.
Not sure what all the fuss was about originally then given the money was not actually lost.0 -
Anyone had their cashback yet?0

Well they said (in the leaflet) that they'd do it about 2 weeks after closure (22nd Jan), so I don't see why we shouldn't expect it in that timescale.
I have a £100 debit balance as I don't think they'll be efficient in sending out the cheques.0 -

I agree, but for some people it might not be that easy.
Let's say your statement was on 22nd Jan (which logically is about 1/31st of account holders).
It's possible that you have to pay the full amount on that statement to avoid interest, didn't get to spend on the next statement as card was closed and don't get the cashback before your payment is due.
You sound like you've had good timing, but it won't work out as well for everyone.
Remember we all have different statement dates.
I'm sure it will all work out in the end. I just think some people who appear to think that ten of thousands of cheques will be generated instantaniously are going to be dissapointed in the timescale.0 -
I haven't taken up the offer of the new card as I took out the Luma offer instead. I was told by Aqua when I rang to ask, that I won't get my cashback cheque until the anniversary of when the account was originally opened, which for me was October, so I have to wait until then to get the £11 odd pounds that I'm due.0

That contradicts their leaflet (did you get one).
Those who've closed the accounts should get the cashback 2 weeks after closure (about now).0
