Does anyone know if they will actually issue new cards..

It seems customers who have opted for the new T&C will keep using the same credit card. They won't issue a new one in January.

    Two questions:

    1. Does anyone know if the cashback earned applies to the 'transaction date' or the 'date on account'?

    2. I notice on their online website they seem to allow payments to be made by credit card (not just debit card) which is highly unusual. Has anyone tried this and if so, how does it appear on the other credit card (as a cash advance or a normal transaction etc?)

    Regards
    Sunil

Although it states "Credit/Debit" I believe credit cards are usually rejected if you attempt to use them (I tried once, and it was rejected).

It's a standard payment interface, but attempts to pay by credit card will be rejected.

Note that payments by debit card will take 2 - 3 days to process, whilst payments by Faster Payments will take 2 - 3 hours to process (typically).

They did used to accept Credit Cards, but they inform me this is no longer the case and the website needs to be updated.
  • I had a payment due on the 19th. It's set up to take the full amount by direct debit and usually appears on my bank statement a couple of days later. I know it's been Christmas but it still hasn't been taken yet. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I'm worried about getting charged interest.

Has your "available to spend" been updated to reflect the payment on your AQUA online statement? If so then the payment has been received by AQUA.

If Aqua have said on your statement "We will taken payment by DD on or after 19/12/13", then there's no need to worry. They will not apply any late payment markers or interest, regardless of when they take the money.

You CANNOT make a purchase above your credit limit!

    See post #1936 above.

    .

Not true, I have spent over my credit limit in a single transaction having preloaded the card.
    I think....

Aqua Customer Service say that isn't possible!

But as we all know, CS staff rarely state facts.

No, my "available to spend" is still showing my credit limit minus the amount that's due to be taken.

Thanks. Just a bit worried as it's never taken this long before and the next statement is due on the 2nd.
