It looks like you have been using the slow pull method - asking Aqua to pull money from your bank. The push method is much better - logging in to your bank account and pushing funds to Aqua via faster payments.
To use the push method, follow the "How To Pay - Online" instructions on the reverse of the first page of your Aqua statement where you will find their sortcode and account number. Remember the important reference number so that the funds are allocated to your Aqua account.0 -

Aqua told me that I could not go into credit with them: they would simply reject the money.
As already suggested FP means your money is usually in your account within 2 hours. I always over pay so I don't even have to use FP to keep my account in credit. ie if I owe £300 I pay £400 using faster payments so I am £100 over my credit limit which saves making transfers as often. I do realise I cannot spend over my allowed limit in one transaction.0 -

What if the reward rebate sends you into credit, can you use the rebate plus your credit limit to make a valid payment?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I agree as that is what I do as well !!0 -

About the new agreement - are there any changes other than the cashback rate that we need to be aware of? I looked through the summary boxes but everything else seemed to be the same.
And do we really just need to sign the one page with the agreement and return that? It doesn't even ask for my name anywhere...0 -

Your name & address should be stated in the very first sentance of the agreement.
No you do not need to sign and return the agreement if you don't want to (I'm not).
Your existing account will be closed on 22 January 2014, meaning you will not be able to make any new purchases. You will be allowed to settle the account in line the the terms you have already agreed to

Thanks, I completely missed the address there. Long live small print...
I know I don't _have_ to sign this, but if the card is still the same except for the lower cashback then it's still a pretty good deal for me (because of the 0% foreign transactions), so I would want to keep it.0 -

Then you need to sign the new agreement, return it before the end of this year, and hope you get accepted for the new card
