into my 2nd year now, 1st statement after being paid my £100 cashback is due to be printed tomorrow.
Will report back on here as soon as I get it to confirm cashback tracking for 2nd year.
It had better do, I have put £1100 through the card this month!

This is what I'd have thought.

It may be worth pinging £5 over (or your minimum payment), just to be on the safe side, unless the statement confirms otherwise.

If your monthly statement shows zero or less, after cashback, then there is nothing to pay. If there is a positive balance after cashback you will need to make the minimum payment.
    I don't understand the confusion.

I had only few Pounds owing from last statement. £100 cashback came through. Quite rightly, Aqua did not take any DD payments this month.

Presumably you had a balance of less than zero after cashback (i.e. you were in credit) so obviously there would be nothing to pay.

If you put it that way, it makes perfect sense. So if you have a 110 pound balance for example, and you get 100 cashback, you still have to make the minimum payment of the remaining 10 pounds, or you'll be considered in default. But if it clears your balance, there's nothing left to make a minimum payment on.

Makes sense. I'll go do some real work now, and stop confusing people :)

The confusion arises when the cashback is paid after the statement. So the statement says you need to make a payment or that they will take a direct debit payment. Then the next day they credit the cashback to your account putting it in credit. So then they don't take a direct debit.

This card has been great for me all the time I've had it. £50 cashback paid in last month too and no charges for foreign purchases.

Only problem is they deny some foreign payments and you immediately get an automated phone call asking if it's a valid transaction -d'oh, what's the point of that when they've already denied it? I get this with other cards but they delay the authorisation. The transaction with Aqua works 2nd time around within minutes.

    Otherwise, all good.

They do that with some UK online transactions too, even well known retailers ;)

Where are you able to view how much cash back you've currently actually earned for far? I can't see anything on my online statements

For the time being, it's only listed on the printed postal statements.

I hope that when proper paperless statements are introduced that the PDFs will include this.
Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D
