According to your signature you have a Nationwide Select card - why not just use that?

Ahh yes I had earned a lot of cashback via a Nationwide Select card unfortunately I recently closed it. I moved some balances to 0% and once I've been away from Nationwide's credit card for 12 months I can re-apply to get the introductory offers. There was a bit of a complaint with them as well regards the fact that I opened my select card with a Flex account but didn't get the correct offers I should have as a new customer opening both accounts together and using their switching service.

I never got anywhere with that and gave up in the end, not worth it.

Notwithstanding, Metrobank current account will by far be the best option due to also free cash withdrawals abroad :o
    Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Seems the new website doesn't show the exchange rate applied if you use your card overseas :/ (yes, I know one can work it out but that's a pain - and a loss of functionality)

    Regards

I actually like the new look for what it's worth - and the addition of statements (when it works) is fantastic. I'm often abroad for large periods of time, and indeed just came back from 8 months in Spain, so I have to leave the care of my post to relatives.

i still can't register online not impressed with the ongoing problems with the website without sounding too sniffy you can tell the company isn't a major banking institution. MSE would have it on the front page if it was natwest or barclays.

    Finally got on!

Glad it's updated too - I 'forgot' (sure I didn't, it's written down!) my old internet security code and they demanded I phoned them to change address.

Re-registered through this and changed my address and phone numbers instantly - account takeover worries!!?!? All I needed was the card to re-register, anyone could've had that!

You need the card number, the expiry date, your date of birth and your post code. ;)

Just remembered you need DOB & postcode - but any acquaintances would know that! Lose your wallet with your driving licence in and they've got it all.

It *should* be blocked in theory (if it's been reported), but with Aqua I wouldn't want to guarantee that!

And I've known customers wait weeks before reporting lost/stolen cards!

It seems I spoke too soon anyway - despite it being confirmed as done, it now appears to have gone back to the old one! So I'm going to have to message them anyway and find out what's going on!

The new website is pretty much the same as the old one, except with a new skin plus it's a bit faster....

The viewing of old statements is a bit different. Now an older statement is split over 2 tabs/screens

Also it only allows access to last 6 months statements. Is this a new restriction?

And why didn't they take the opportunity to add statements in pdf form to all users, not just those who already have agreed to paperless billing? If I could 'try before I buy', I might be tempted to opt for paperless billing :)

"Sorry we have experienced a problem
Your application for an aqua card is important to us. Please try again later."

Hopeless. Maybe I'll try over the phone.
