When I requested a higher limit they pointed out as I had other credit cards. This meant I could possibly be in debit to the totals allowed on my other cards. This is how the decided on the limit on my Aqua card. They tell me if I got rid of some of my other cards I would get a higher limit on the Aqua card

They're misleading you a little bit there.

Whilst there's an element of truth in that your total available credit is taken into consideration when assessing your initial limit, initial limits from Aqua are notoriously worse than competitors and subsequent increases are based on your Aqua account conduct.

Anybody having trouble registering for the new online account servicing ? Just says 'unexpected error' when I try it.

That was happening all yesterday. I'm guessing it's still happening today.

Their site is pretty shambolic (and slow) at the best of times but it's completely stuffed at the moment.

It does seem to be broken even more badly today.

Yesterday it was erroring after the second login screen, but now it's erroriing after the first login screen.

But then they have an automated service working just as expected on 0113 244 8986 for checking your balance etc so no great shakes.

To save hundreds of people all phoning with the same question; has anyone called up and been told what those of us unable to log in (unexpected error) are advised to do? Just wait, phone to get the details reset...?

When I spoke with them yesterday they said they were aware of the issue and were working on it, nothing about having to get any details reset was mentioned.

Their IVR also states they're working on it and it will be fixed when it's fixed.

They are a shambolic outfit. Have to keep track of the balance because of their pathetic credit limits, not something I need to worry about with other cards. My cards going back in a drawer till this is sorted.

Bet the 3% doesn't last much longer either, now the card is no longer being marketed. It'll be a pleasure when it comes to cancelling this one, assuming they can manage that.

The alternative when they said 'hit Cap One for £3,800' was that they got cashback on £3,800 and thereby didn't appreciate the fact that Aqua stopped giving cashback after £3,333.33. If this is true, they also didn't understand that the Aqua Reward is the best possible card if you're going to spend this much in one year.

Capital One would have given them £18 for that spend.

Or they may have a deal with a retailer whereby the retailer gets a revolving credit line at the cost of their credit card merchant commission in return for putting the tranasactions through each month and returning the cash before the payment date so the poster avoids paying any interest charges....
    I think....
