Anyone had success with credit limit increases?

I'm just on the phone to them now - had the account six months as of today - and a robotic woman keeps repeating "Computer says no", despite the fact I've repaid the card in full each month - sometimes several times a month - never been overlimit, never been late, always used the card - in fact most months I turned over several times the credit limit until I reached £100 cashback.

But apparently £250 is my lot.

Hmm. The second lowest limit I have elsewhere is eight-fold that!

Doesn't really inspire you with confidence when the operator on the phone tells you they've had issues with the site and everyone has to re-register.

Then when you try and re-register it says "The service is not available. Please try again later."

How long had you held the account for?

I was going to praise the site after I had registered yesterday and signing in was a lot quicker. But today says "not available" . I did manage to raise my £250 to £550 over the phone after I was first refused with my internet application for a raise.

Well I'll give it until the end of my next billing cycle and if they won't offer me a sensible limit I'll close the account.

I'm going on a grand tour of Europe in September and the fee-free foreign usage would come in really handy, but would at the same time be utterly pointless with a credit limit of about a twelfth of what I plan to spend while abroad!

I'll be in Reading next month though so I'll see about opening up a MetroBank bank account - fee free purchases and cash withdrawals with their debit card abroad :)

Just called up to ask for a credit limit increase for my trip abroad. Got raised from £500 to £650. Every little helps. :p

I'll be driving a good 3,800 miles as well as 15 ~ 20 overnight stops at various hotels / B&Bs so will be spending circa £3,000. Looks like Metrobank will be the most sensible option :)

you won't get 3k with aqua i think the maximum is 1600 i now have 1500 from my opening limit of 250 so they do seem to increase it every few months if you run it well.
