Told it is added to your account on the anniversary of the card, mine being June. However, they have been so pathetic, that I am questioning whether we will actiually get this. The 3% deal is no longer avialable on their website
The amount earned so far should be on your monthly statements.0 -

As per the T&Cs.stphnstevey wrote: »However, they have been so pathetic, that I am questioning whether we will actiually get this.0 -
Used to be seeing everything online, but couldn't see it there, but it is on paper statement as said. I have had a few problems - they claimed I wasn't on the cashback deal to start with, three phone calls and still not told me how to setup txt alerts, due to tiny credit limits have gone over accidently once (my fault, but if they sorted out txt reminders or had decent limit to start with (£250 to star with I cld spend in a day), then wldn't have problem and never had it with any other card).
So are they only doing cashback for a year (if so, pathetic may have been right)? So once at £100, just dump card or keep for foriegn currency?0 -

Hmm personally I might keep it for foreign currency. I've had a look at Mastercard and Visa rates over the past couple of weeks, and Mastercard seem to consistently give better rates than Visa do (I have a Nationwide select credit card and an N&P debit card)0 -

IIRC you won't get any cashback at all in a year when you go overlimit0 -

Your card's T&Cs would have said whether you had the cashback card or not, and given that you would have read the T&Cs for a financial product you've taken out, you would know. I'm confused as to why you would then need to ring them.
The T&Cs define the cashback scheme as ongoing. But they can change the T&Cs if they give you reasonable notice. So it's possible they could stop doing the cashback, just like any other card could, but there's no reason to abandon the card until this happens (if it happens).
As others have pointed already, going over your credit limit makes you ineligible for cashback for that year (unless you ring them up, apologise and rely on their generosity).0 -
Why not use another credit card for the hold that the hotel require? The funds are not actually taken but just blocked, so there are no charges to pay when the funds are released. Reserving amounts on the Aqua card doesn't give you any gain, and removes available credit for spending.
Thanks, but it was the only credit card I had when I posted! Have since applied for the Halifax Clarity - and been accepted!!! Not bad for an ex-bankrupt! :rotfl:0 -
aqua seem very pro active when it comes to increasing limits mine was doubled only in feb now its been increased again by nearly double in may. i thought reviews only take place once every six months ? i'll accept but i think they are hoping i'll keep it if the cashback goes or maybe i'm just suspicious.0

Got the card last June with a £500 limit, spent £3000 on it so far over the last 10 months, not received a single increase yet. I'm not going to request one.0

if only we knew why CC companies offer some people credit limits or cards and not others we'd be rich :rotfl:0
