-to simplify things a bit-
As I understand it, no.
Can you unsimplify again? I'd hope(*) if I spent £250, then cleared my balance, then spent £250, I should earn 3% cashback on the full £500. That's what would happen with my Tesco or Natwest cards, do we know if aqua operate a policy of not allowing spending more than the credit limit each month?
(* but don't know, I might try asking when I activate my card)0 -
Perhaps I misunderstood.
I'd imagine its 3% on whatever you spend - be it £1 or the whole credit limit - but not more than £100 a year.Oh, you wee bazza!0 -
Gromitt, now you've confused me. I think Milarky was worried that if the Direct Debit is only taken (for example) 21 days after the statement date, then one has to wait most of the next statement period for the balance to clear.before spending again.
If that is too confusing, then just sign up for online servicing and when your balance becomes £278 or more, stop spending until it becomes zero by DD, or just pay it off with a debit card as and when.0 -

I believe you are wrong.
There does not appear to be any reason why you couldn't spend, say, £500 on the card, clear that with a debit-card payment the next day, and then continue to spend more.
You could earn your entire £100 cashback in the first month that way if you wanted to. There's nothing in the FAQ that would prevent this.0 -
Just a side question really more about aqua, does anyone know who they are part of, what group? I can't really find anything on the internet apart from one thread on this forum alluding to the fact they're part of HBOS, is this correct?0

Well, the Aqua website has a security certificate from Halifax, so draw from that what you wish0 -

On the bottom of Aqua's website (and in various other places, and littered on google!) it says they are run by "Progressive Credit" (which is owned by SAV credit).0 -
Aqua was part of Halifax but recently taken over by Progressive Credit (Sav Credit). My understanding is credit check etc is still being done by Halifax. Another strange aquacard.co.uk now goes straight to Marbles? MS0

No, I saw all that but who are SAV credit? It doesn't really matter it was more just a curiosity thing because they must be backed by someone0
