Very possible! £750 quid and room to wiggle. If it was nearer I'd snap his arm off.

    Worth £250 as scrap!

Nothing wrong with a 2 tonne luxo barge!

    Cheap parts (honest)
Chain driven motor (no cambelt worries)
    Good for 400,000 miles (easy)
    Wafty (of course)
    Runs on veg oil (yep!)
Rusts between the numberplates (absolutely but looks like a lot of years left on this one!)

Seriously though, it was just to show it is possible, it's just rare. Luxo cars like this are more likely to have service history as the owners will keep them for a few years and look after them given the high initial purchase price.

Family wagons can be seen as a useable commodity which is why they can have a high number of oweners, each taking slightly less care than the last one etc etc.

You need something an active grandad has owned for five years, used but not abused!

What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

hmmm. It's probably a comfortable drive! I can see where you're coming from.:)

My previous car was owned by a vicar for many years before me. The church do look after their cars..:D.

My neighbours can't wait to see what I end up with.:D. that would be hilarious.

I prefer the Ford Ka - did you see it from the link? It's crazy as it has no service history, but the Fiesta smells, and the seller phoned me this afternoon and was a bit patronising, saying had I decided as he's leaving soon. I said I was thinking about it, looking on the net etc and he said "don't buy anything off the internet". That rules his out then.:rotfl:

The smell of tobacco has put me off - why should i live with that?! It's horrible!:(

Good to have a laugh about it though with the post above, if I don't laugh I'll cry.

Punto seems reasonable? Going to test drive it and the Ka on Mon if I am still looking. Colour a bit off but beggars can't be choosers. I'm being very choosy actually!

Ka looks alright actually, its the top model with all the buttons. :D

I don't think that should put you off the Fiesta - he's just trying to make a sale. Its a good sign that he's ringing you. :p With regards the smell, get him to valet it inside as part of the deal. I despise smoking in cars for that reason - got nothing against smoking in itself!

Punto is newer, but is Italian and more likely to break than a Ford.

I just got upset about the whole thing cos I can't go out tonight. I'm ok during the week but at the weekend without a car I'm isolated. I also think I have whiplash. My neck keeps clicking and I just feel dizzy and not ok - it's been like that for over a week. Accident was on 15th. I'm a bit annoyed suddenly at all the upheaval and upset.

I'm not sure about the Fiesta. It's a grotty old thing like I had before. he is going to valet it but I doubt the smell would go. The Ka on the other hand. Sexy little number.:) I have to check it out on Mon. Would it be silly to buy a car with NO service history?
