Advice...First date.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say go with your gut instinct. Do you find him attractive? If he's irritating you at this stage do you want to be getting his hopes up by agreeing to a second date?
I suppose in short, just ask yourself: would you be sorry if you didn't see him again?
I find him attractive and cute. He wasn't irritating as such, I was more dumbfounded as to why he kept complimenting himself. He just seemed totally different to his phone persona.
I think I would go on a second date, but we both need to discuss the first date. He might think I'm too shy!0 -
He sounds rather inept. Is he quite young or inexperienced?0

I didn't mind him speaking more but what am I supposed to say to this....
"I get attention for my looks"
"My name is amazing"
"you'll struggle to find someone better than me"
And when he did say he gets attention for his looks, I joked and said so do I and he said, I find that hard to believe but immediately kept saying he was joking afterwards and felt stupid for saying that. He's seen my pictures and called me beautiful on the phone.
Thanks for the advice guys. Now I'm at home, it was a weird first date now I look back. Keep them coming:)
"That's very nice for you, goodbye."
Don't you have any self-worth?0 -

Inexperienced. I'm his ideal girl.0 -

"you'll struggle to find someone better than me"
"Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay I'll go struggle":rotfl:
IMO, in a relationship you're not supposed to feel you're just 'ok' and you're lucky the other person chose you. It should be an equal thing!
Well not really. They should be chuffed you've chosen themWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Isn't it always a good sign if he makes eye contact and only looks at you and no one else though?
He paid for my food and offered to buy me more coffee when I was done.
Omg I'm so confused0 -
The last 'first date' I went on, I declined a second one - felt we were too different, not enough in common etc. He wrote me a really nice email that persuaded me to have a 2nd date at least.
He's now my husband.:D
I always recommend a 2nd date. He may have been very nervous and it came out all wrong.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
