I get this-but mine is down to eczema flaring up after i've shaved. And yes-i've scratched untill it's bled ouch! But thats eczema for you.

Do you have dry skin? maybe you need to slap on plenty of moisturiser after you've shaved? Body butter is good, as it melts in.

    keely.

ps-certain razors caused a major rash on my armpits, and i got little spot things which itched like mad. I swapped razor and i didnt sufer again. so sometimes worth trying different razors etc.

  • I don't know why this is happening; but try aqueous cream which can be bought cheaply at the chemist....
Maybe you should have your legs waxed instead of shaving; or try a hair removal cream !!!

I've got some of that E45 itch cream.
I will see how that works.

Funny how I didn't have it for years & years & now it's come back.

    Thanks Floyd.

Thought that I would add that I have found this very good sites for impartial advice on hair removal:

    http://www.hairtell.com/
    http://www.hairfacts.com/

it has taken me ages to find anything like this as most of the sites are companies going for the hard sell, anyway in addition to the very useful advice on here it should be very useful to people - I for one am so glad I found it!

I noticed that there are a few bad accounts of the sk:n clinic in London, but as with many of these things it can depend on who you getin addition to the very useful.
  • I tried waxing my bikini line at home once...NOT a success! Something went wrong and I ended up losing skin as well as hair *wincing at the memory* Still have the scar! Still wax my legs at home from time to time - although I generally tend to use a razor (one of the Venus ones) and shaving gel. Seem to remember using some kind of sandpapery thing at uni, think I bought it in Superdrug - was literally just a circle of sandpaper stuff - was good so will look it up again.

Tried an epilator once - screamed the house down. Husband reckoned it looked and sounded like a combine harvester in action...

Had the last of my 6 treatments today in Sk:n Liverpool-hooray! I have to say I've been absolutely delighted with the results (I've been having the full works- legs, bikini line, underarms and tummy). It's one of the best things I've ever done, and has really changed my self-image.

If anyone's wondering about laser treatment and whether or not to go ahead with, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

I had laser treatment on my face and chin last year. I would say I had 10 treatments with a Ruby laser at a clininc in the south-east. I am fair skinned and blonde with dark hairs on my chin.

I can honestly say that there is next to no improvement at all.

    hi floyd,

do you know what system sknclinic use?

I have heard that epilight is the best from this site (http://www.hairlaserremoval.co.uk/) however I don't know if the this site is really a consumer site - or a clever piece of marketing for epilight!

In other places I have heard that different systems are better - e.g. LightSheer.

There is so much contradiction on the web on this whole subject - I just want to go to the best place with the best treatment.

Finally had my next appointment today, they used this one the Apogee Elite http://www.cynosure.com/products/elite/index.php which uses both the 755-nm Alexandrite laser and the 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser.

    Hope that helps
