Ah what a good plan-I went in today to ask for one and ended up just getting my legs done because I couldn't bring myself to mention it... :o I reckon the stubble has to be more irritating-it lasts for days, but waxing its over in seconds.

And remember ..it's the stubble that makes you walk funny for days after

  • Its the Stubble rash pain Vs the waxing pain

I will book on the phone to save some embarrassment !

Use a scruff mitt thingy in the shower (a cooler shower is better as you end up not sitting in the hot water and making skin more sensitive) to help with any ingrowing hairs and soften stubble. It's a mesh glove used to help remove dry skin, I think Boots and superdrug have them for about £1 -£2 a pair, then a nice cooling frangrance free moisturiser afterwards.

Waxing wins hands down for less stubble rash, its softer as it's taken out by the root whereas shaving cuts the hairs off bluntly next to the skin and makes you feel itchier.

Edited to add: Don't go if you are easily embarassed, not recommended :D

  • Mmmm i get waxed and have been having it done (a brazilian) since oct but it grows back in like 2 weeks when it is upposed to last about 5! They lady that does it says i don't have much hair so why does it grow so quickly? Does it take a while for it to last longer?

I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something

  • you'll be fine lady!

I second the painkillers / chocolate combo...

aloe vera some time after is a good idea, works for me, anyway.
I only just started having everything removed (eekkk!!) and yes, it's a bit stingy, but after that first strip is taken off, you know the pain level and you'll relax into it...

I'd never go back to the razor!!! ever!
    good luck!

Been having bikini wax for years. What I do is just ask for a little more off each time. Good luck x
