hair removal (merged)

Hi All
Had a similar problem myself and after trying most of the products people have suggested, i resorted to laser hair removal.... It is the BEST thing i have ever done.. yes, it can be expensive (although i only needed 2 treatments!) the results are instant and saves you having to continually address the problem
I think it is quite a new method in hair removal, however, you will start to see more and more beauty salons introducing this method
I can thoroughly recommend to anyone!
Best of luck

If an IPL laser is used for one or the other treatment, does it also act as both?
Does that make sense?de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
Dear aurora
The light is at a different wavelength dependant on the treatment.
Lasers deliver one narrow wavelength (or colour) of light
For example lasers designed for permanent hair reduction emit wavelengths of light designed to be absorbed by the pigment in the hair (melanin)- so Alexandrite laser are 755nm. This is why your skin must be pale for this to work well and without side effects
IPL for photo rejuvenation tends to use short wavelength from 530nm up
Transform are offering a free consult + and trial treatment on laser treatments up to 29th Feb

I am thinking about getting this done, but every time i think about the pain I put my self off. So could anyone who has had it done tell me if it is as painful as you imagined ?

I'm more scared of having to ask for it to be honest-it seems so embarrassing
But in my opinion, the pain would quickly be over and it wouldn't hurt too much. I think...:heartpuls:heartpuls

depends on how good you are at handling pain?
the lower the wax goes the more painful it gets, but time of the month and illness can also be a factor in how painful it is. compared to a normal bikini wax it's not as bad as you'd think, some salons recommend that you take 2 painkillers before you go to help lessen the ouch effect.

I will book on the phone to save some embarrassment !I reckon the stubble has to be more irritating-it lasts for days, but waxing its over in seconds.
