Noooooo, don't do it, I bought one of these as I have very fine blonde fluff on my face and I thought this would be ideal. It hurts, think fine sandpaper, it doesn't really work and you end up with a very red face.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

daughter and I use these on our legs and they are fabulous, regrowth is fine and legs silky smooth,
but don't use them on face, you can get special ones for faces which do work although they left my skin on upper lip sore for 24 hrsI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. thanks glad.
where do i get a facial one? i.e. for upper lip
is it really sandpaper?Nice to save.0 -
Yes - it's like the stuff called 'wet and dry'! Really fine type sandpaper!
I used them once on my legs after waxing to get rid of the ones I'd missed - does leave them really smooth, but it doesn't remove them from the root.
Could you use wax - it's bad the first time, but you get used to it! If you did it before you went to bed, I'm sure the redness would have gone when you get up."No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin0 -
Have you tried bleaching your top lip with something like Jolen? Obviously doesn't remove the hair but it does make it almost invisible and avoids regrowth issues, and works out fairly cheap.0

I find NADS it pretty good for the upper lip. You can now get a little wand applicator one for the face.0

I use a epilator on my legs, it is like a ladyshave, but instead of having a foil it has lots of tweezer type things which pluck the hair from the root. The hair grows finer over time - i did try using it on my more sensitive areas and i needless to say, i wouldnt do it again. I have tried Nads on my face. But i couldnt get the hang of it, i bought facial strips too, but was too chicken to use them. I use Veet hair removal cream now. Its less painfull. I did buy the sandpaper type stuff for my face, but it made my skin red and sore. I didnt persevere. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. thanks, but wot iz nads and where do i get them from????????????????
not too keen on bleachin. have never done it myself but have seen it on others .
it seems to increase hair and also stands out more especially when light or sun is on it.Nice to save.0 -
Nads is marketed as cold waxing. Its a natural stickly green gloop made of suger, lemon etc that you spread over the hair in the direction of growth, press a cloth down over the top and rip off in the over direction
Believe me it doesnt hurt anywhere as near as bad as wax as the stuff doesnt stick to the skin. I use it on my eyebrows its that easy(and reletively painfree) to use.
Heres a link so you can get an idea of what it is you are looking for http://bbuyer.unitedkingdomshop.co.uk/G018.html
I know you can get it from QVC and I have seen it in Safeways. I suggest buying it from QVC as you can try it and if you dont like it you can send it back for a full refund www.qvcuk.com0
