Read the thread, particularly comments made by Papa Smurf who advises you to WRITE to the company concerned. There is no way they guessed your account details, so you should speak to your step daughter and ascertain why exactly she felt she could use your card details online without checking first.

There isnt an emoticon for <shakes head and rolls eyes> unfortunately. The mind boggles, how do people survive to adulthood unsupervised.

Reminds me of when Homer Simpson writes to movies

"Dead Die Hard: You rock. Especially when that guy was on the roof. PS. Do you know Mad Max?"
  • Im here because I too have had money taken from my account. I was curious as to how many others it had happened to. I've spoken to my bank twice but am going to call them again tomorrow armed with some of the advice from here. I filled in an online application (with Personal Loan finder)for a loan and was under the impression I would pay the fee when I had the money from the loan. LESSON LEARNED! I've looked on the Green Leaf website & found this:

I can't see this going down very well with the FSA or the OFT. The sending of one of these is usually deemed by the authorities as having been served.

Probably because the address is just a mail forwarding service, so there is no one there to sign for it.
