I have to say I'm really rather sadend by the comments made to your children, makes me feel quite deflated to think they have that to contend with.

Kids can be very cruel. They defended me to the hilt (bless their hearts) but would invariably get upset. They refused to take crap off anyone from a young age but some of the things that were said to them were awful.

A girl who was at my daughter's college a year or so ago, was not very well behaved and she was subsequently taken off the course. My daughter had an argument with her over her behaviour and she sent my daughter an email that night.

In the email to my daughter, the girl referred to me as a "disabled b1.tch" and hoped I felt pain each day and that I get cancer and die a slow and painful death, so she can laugh her head off at my daughter (suffering because of my death.)

This was from a 17 year old..... said with the sole intention of hurting my daughter.

That's awful, be assured though it does come back to bite them on the bum...

A couple of years ago I had just had my first back surgery kids school had given me consent to park in the disabled bay, at the time I had 35% movement of my spine and lots of damage to my legs..
To say I was struggling is an understatement, it was Winter and I have arthritis and nerve damage..

School suddenly decided that I was parking in the bay too often and withdrew their offer to allow me to park there, I was really upset...

The school burser, she does all the finance and general running of the school informed me of the decision and stated harshly 'you are not that disabled are you ' her words cut me as i'd been fighting hard to look after my daughters, and then I needed crutches to walk...

Anyway this very lady who's well known for being hard faced fell down the stairs, broke her leg in a way which needed ops
and pins and will never get better, she's in constant pain..
She's also now quite friendly and approachable...

My doctor gives me sicknotes for a year at a time .

I am surprised, given what you have said about your illness, Anubis, that you still have to provide sicknotes.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.

I'm not certain but I don't think she's been changed to ESA yet...

I have to provide them for SDA - it is an old allowance where you had to be determined as over 80 percent disabled to receive it. I had medical assessments and was granted it and was exempt from the PCA test.

I used to get notifications every year to send them in, but haven't had them for the last few years, so not sure that I do still have to send them but I still do incase it causes complications.
