shawbrook have now lowered there 12 month fixed isa to 4.11%
Phew, managed to get in just in time yesterday evening then. Last chopper from Saigon :)
E-mailed back the scanned transfer form last night, got confirmation this morning from Shawbrook they have sent it to saffron, and just now answered via secure message Saffron's question whether indeed my ISA is moving out (for some reason they could not verify my signature). So fingers crossed for a fast turnover!

Phew me too ! I was dithering about where to ISA transfer out of CMC Invest to and opened Shawbrook 1year fixed only 2 days ago. Still in the transfer process but account opened at fixed 4.31%.
I’m yet to hear how progress is going.
fingers and toes crossed for swift transfer as CMC invest isa rate drops to 3.95% on 10/09
Lo and behold - just got an e-mail from Saffron stating the full amount has been sent to acc/sort code that display the last digits of the new Shawbrook acc/sort code. If the money shows in my new ISA tomorrow, that would be the quickest turnover I've ever witnessed!
Wow that’s impressive pleased for you
I’ve heard no more from Shawbrook apart from they’ve received my transfer form and account is showing as open, and no word from CMC Invest transfer out

Just checked - the full amount is in already = 24 hours from start to finish! Hope yours doesn't fall too far behind!

Not sure if this was already reported but Cynergy Bank launched an Easy Access ISA at 4.35% (not flexible) on 3rd September.

I've made an attempt going through existing customer route (Fast Track). It didn't work - "Please call us on 0345 850 5555 to get you set up for Fast Track. We will need your most recent National Insurance Number. We'll update your details as quickly as possible."  Don't know whether to try applying as a new customer or call them on Monday to submit my NI number.

Same here, rather poor show imho. Why can they not simply add a form like literally anyone else and capture that data during application is beyond me.

One thing to bear in mind is the Cynergy Online ISA at 4.35% is NOT flexible if that matters to people opening a new ISA

I went for new customer application, but had to abandon it.  When it came to "Choose your existing cash ISA provider" CMC wasn't on the list and you cant' just type it in.  The whole point was to find a new home for my CMC ISA.

I've decided to go with VIDA. CMC isn't on their drop-down list either, but at least they let you download and fill in an application form and either submit it by email or print off and send to their FREEPOST address.

Cynergy has a "if your name's not down, you're not coming (transferring) in" thing, and when I checked CMC was not listed. :hushed:

Yes, Cynergy have a list of providers they accept and CMC is not on their list and it seems that's the case with many providers too. I spoke with Coventry on the phone and they said they accept CMC but only via paper form so downloaded the form and sent it off to Coventry using one of the many Freepost envelopes I still have.

I was thinking that you could open the Cynergy ISA before they withdraw it. I think they give you 35 days to fund it before it gets automatically closed. Surely, if they give 35 days that should also include providing transfer in instructions. In my and OH's case, that would mean that as soon as funds are landed with Coventry's 4.15% 5 Access ISA the transfer to Cynergy would be initiated and should not take long from there due to electronic transfer procedure.

Out of ISA accounts I currently have I can only use Paragon for transfers to Cynergy.  I still have a small allowance for this tax year so I've opened Cynergy issue 56 with £1 for now.  Also requested a full transfer from CMC to Paragon.  Paragon allows transfers from unlisted ISA providers, just need to submit a "paper" form which can be e-mailed to them.  I've done a couple of transfers to Paragon from unlisted providers recently and it worked.  When this is done I will request a transfer from Paragon to Cynergy.
