Fixed rate mini cash isa's that accept transfers in:
If you are choosing a fixed rate mini cash ISA - do ensure that you can leave the money untouched until the ISA matures, as making a withdrawal or transferring out before the ISA has matured will usually incur a loss of interest penalty.

I have around £7000 to invest right now (I'll open my ISA + one more from my mom so I can invest the whole amount.), so can you please tell me if THIS is the best product on the market for me. I'm looking for the highest rate with a stable bank (not that we can speak of any stability right now). I don't think I'll need the money in the next 1 year, so no withdrawals (if anything arises I have backup means for financial support anyway)
Also about this maturity - If I open the account now, does this mean I'll get the earned interest + my money in exactly one year (in the middle of the 2009/2010 financial year)?
And just to make sure after 05.04.2009 I'll be able to open another ISA account under my name and invest £3600 more if I have them, right?
Thank you.0 -

I think the only one remaining is Halifax, but they don't fix the rate at the time you apply, but when the transfers completes (~3 weeks) and about to change the current rate on the 17th (not confirmed info from another thread)All my life my mother told me the storm was coming (c) Terminator 30 -
Kent Reliance fell off the list during last month's updates when the other providers were paying a minimum of around 5.50%. I've added the Direct ISA back onto the variable rate section as it is again currently competitive with the other variable rates on offer. I've also added the Newcastle Building Society 6.00% ISA to the list.
More updates to follow at the weekend...0 -

Strange - I've just had a look at this page http://www.krbs.co.uk/directvarunder25.aspx and it says
This account can only be opened and operated by post through our Head Office.

Hi,
I'd like to find somewhere to transfer my Icesave ISA cash into - I'm currently leaning towards Principality, since they pay a rate of 5.50%, and also accept transfers in. I already have an account with them too (the e-Saver) so it'd be quite convinient, but I'm concerned they haven't dropped their rate yet and it could plummet, any advice please guys, or is it going to be almost impossible to get a consistently good rate from now?
I don't really fancy anything with catches of any sort, including bonuses or withdrawal limits or notices - even though I won't be withdrawing any time soon it's nice to have the option there
Thanks!0
