I've got about £10k in the flexible Skipton Tracker (BOEBR - 0.25%) ISA currently, and over £20k in a Principality flexible ISA which I have not funded this year. 

So my plan is to withdraw £7k from Principality, top up Skipton, transfer Skipton to Skipton, then withdraw the £7k from the new Skipton account and pay it back into Principality. 

Does that comply with the rules? 

Can't Skipton just convert the account? That way it would retain the same account number, and therefore would be the same account, saving all the faff of moving money around.
That's what I do with Principality every year when it matures and I want to change it to a different ISA

Further to this, I went into a Skipton branch to convert my Issue 7 to Issue 8 Tracker Cash ISA, five minute job. You can do it over the phone. Interest paid up until the change and same account number kept, so saves having to faff with doing it via a transfer and topping back up the withdrawn flexible withdrawals.

Anyone had problems with opening an ISA with Trading 212? My wife gave up as she couldn't get past the identity verification stage involving the video ident. I got a bit further but the system decided it needed manual verification - 1 hour wait - that was yesterday morning - still waiting!

EDIT - I went on the chat bot ,and miracle of miracles!, it connected me to a human. After a few minutes the agent verified my information and activated the account - no explanation of why the huge delay - just wonder if the mention of them in ML newsletter has caused their systems to partially collapse!

I'm on the lookout for a new EA Flexible ISA (Chip promo about to expire), and was considering Trading212, but have just noticed that the promo rate of 4.92% doesn't allow cash transfers in. Is this something new, or have they always done this?

I applied recently to T212 with the Moneyfacts code MFC (4.81% including bonus.) That didn't have the *not-transfers-in clause that the MSE promo code specified.

Looks like you can't get the 'transfer in' bonus rate regardless of which link you follow now.
