Why is the Financial Ombudsman not addressing this anti-competitor restriction? The government passed the law to allow that very option.flaneurs_lobster said:CuparLad said:Virgin Money 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 12 @ 5.05% released...............Happy days. The 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 12 is all yours
We just need you to look over and agree to the legal bits first. That's rather annoying.- I have not subscribed and will not subscribe to another Cash ISA in the same year that I subscribed to this Cash ISA.
I have not subscribed, and will not subscribe, to more than the overall ISA subscription limit total in the same tax year.
I guess the anti-competitor link is out of date as it was valid pre April 6, 2024.
Here is a link to the form.

I have just seen that this form is for 2025/2026. When I first posted this link on 16 April 2024 on this thread (page 760) it was for 2024/2025.1 -

And when your talking about transfers taking longer than 5 days you have to add non banking days that exacerbate the delay. So far I've had 2 weekends and 2 bank holidays missing out on the increased interest.MisterMotivated said:MisterMotivated said:My transfer from Zopa finally appeared in Chip this afternoon along with emails from each provider. I've now initiated the next transfer from Virgin Money. Hopefully the frenzy of activity in the new tax year will have faded a little and this one moves a bit more quickly.
Well, things are already off to a quicker start as my Virgin Money ISA has now disappeared from the app just 2 days after the request was made (compared to 13 days for Zopa). Hasn't appeared in Chip yet though but it would be unrealistic to expect that0 -
Zopa
Has anyone experienced a completed Cash ISA transfer from Zopa to Monument yet, please? ⏰

And the Virgin Money funds are now in my Chip account all of 3 working days from the date of the transfer request.

my Zopa to chip competed today, I initiated the transfer on 7/42 -
Thanks for the info, I make that 14 working days. The limit is supposed to be 15 days. I'm still waiting for my Zopa transfer and we'll see if it's 14 days for me.VNX said:

it really was quite a shambles for me.
both zopa and chip disagreeing about which email address should be used to send the ‘transfer history form’ to after numerous phone calls to Zopa and online chats with chip they sorted it.
£8 interest lost due to one or both of their incompetence. Given how hopeless the transfer was I can’t find the drive to spend my time chasing this from them.1 -
I would raise a complaint regardless, not because of the £8 loss in interest alone but also because of the time you invested. If providers are unable to get a transfer completed in time because they can't agree on an email address I would say this is 100% an operational failure on their side and it disadvantaged you.VNX said:

If people don't complain and accept this, there will be no incentive by the provider to improve systems, educate their staff better, etc. when they can get away with bad service and no consequences.2 -
I agree, it’s 100% their fault. The average investor probably doesn’t know what a transfer history form is and will just think how hard can it be to send information as to how much of the ISA is comprised of current year subscriptions and initiate an electronic payment/make out a cheque and send it to an address that can probably be found on the internet.pecunianonolet said:
