Moved several ISA's in and out of VM to and from various other providers and VM always has been top class. Usually the issues were with other providersnorthernstar007 said:good luck moving from vm, day 7 still no wordThe issue with VM is that different parts of the hydra refuse to acknowledge that other parts exist, so transfer requests do not get redirected to the correct part of the business. It is still using Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank's HMRC authorisations to offer ISAs. The only registered "Virgin Money" ISA manager is for S&S ISAs, which I don't think it even offers any more.Nevertheless, some people will get lucky.A complete mess that needs to be put out of its misery.
That's probably what is happening. Transfer to Cynergy - rejected; transfer to Close Brothers - completed; transfer to Gatehouse in limbo. Sigh.

The whole isa transfer process really seems archaic and needs reform5

This is what it says in their website:MichaelAP said:What date do Monument pay the monthly interest?
"Interest is calculated daily and paid monthly to this account."
Presumably paid on date of opening or end of the month?
Maybe others can confirm, I am new to Monument myself so haven't received any interest yet.

Thanks…. This is what I am trying to find out; whether it is on opening or the beginning of each month. If it is on the date of opening I will wait until end of this month. However, if it is paid on the 1st of each month I will open it immediately.frosch411 said:

it says "Interest is paid on the first day of each month, rounded up or down to the nearest one pence"2 -
MisterMotivated said:My transfer from Zopa finally appeared in Chip this afternoon along with emails from each provider. I've now initiated the next transfer from Virgin Money. Hopefully the frenzy of activity in the new tax year will have faded a little and this one moves a bit more quickly.
Well, things are already off to a quicker start as my Virgin Money ISA has now disappeared from the app just 2 days after the request was made (compared to 13 days for Zopa). Hasn't appeared in Chip yet though but it would be unrealistic to expect that0 -
I just picked the 4-access and ditched the BRT, the rumoured rapid rate cuts helped my decision as the BRT rate will drop promptly whilst the 4-access may involve a bit of a notice... a bit of a bet, but hopefully Skipton won't drop the 4-access rate below the BRT rate!!Kim_13 said:
I have nominal amounts in both and unless something better comes up, will transfer maturing fixes into them later in the year. Both were opened initially with new money in 24/25 so Skipton must allow multiple ISAs with them in the same tax year and the only issue (though an external workaround is possible) is that an internal transfer requires closing the source account.intalex said:The Skipton 4-access is NLA... time to choose one between my BRT and 4-access...
If I had to pick one, I think I’d go 4 Access - the term appears to be indefinite, unlike the BRT which only lasts for a year and will probably appear again with some other deduction (or maybe an addition if rates go really low) to the Base Rate.0 -
Why is the Financial Ombudsman not addressing this anti-competitor restriction? The government passed the law to allow that very option.flaneurs_lobster said:CuparLad said:Virgin Money 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 12 @ 5.05% released...............Happy days. The 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 12 is all yours
We just need you to look over and agree to the legal bits first. That's rather annoying.- I have not subscribed and will not subscribe to another Cash ISA in the same year that I subscribed to this Cash ISA.
