It's still an increase though. If they want to put their cash ISA rates up by a tiny amount let them so far as I'm concerned.

It's not the amount it's the case that they increased rates on the 16th and two days later a whole new release for another increase. Surely this could have been done in one go. And we have to open a new account and transfer each time as it doesn't apply to existing accounts so that's three times in 10 days. I don't mind this really but it is only two days after the last time.
I agree, it is pretty irritating. It wouldn't be so bad if you could simply upgrade your existing ISA to the new rate, or better still for that to happen automatically. But having to manually do the transfer can be a bit of a palaver, sometimes requiring multiple logins.

I think I'm now on my 15th ISA with them in 18 months, you'd think I'd be used to it by now!

Santander have launched Issue 18 of their eISA today, Tuesday 21st March 2023, paying 3.20% for the first 12 months from account opening.

I will be upgrading my Issue 16 eISA later today (currently paying 2% interest).

Issue 17 was paying 1.5%, if I remember correctly.

Some new fixed rates released too:
    1Y - 4.15%
    18m - 4.25%
    2Y - 4.20%
Thanks Intalex, useful to know. There's also the £50 bonus for a £10k+ transfer.

The timings make it quite a useful account. You have 14 days to transfer in, which takes us past the next MPC meeting. You can also add £20k this tax year if you feel it is a good rate after the MPC meeting, and a further £20k in hte new tax year, by the end of April, if you feel the sentiment on interest rate hikes is softening.
  • Halifax have increased the rates on a couple of their ISAs today:

    • ISA Reward Bonus Saver, less than 3 withdrawals: 3.00% AER (previously 2.55% AER)
    • ISA Bonus Saver, less than 3 withdrawals: 2.80% AER (previously 2.20% AER)

Also, some fixed rate ISAs have increased:
    • Up to 3.95% for 1 year dependent on Current Account criteria (from 3.6%/3.7% previously)
    • Up to 4.05% for 2 years dependent on Current Account criteria (from 3.6%/3.7% previously)

Nationwide Building Society are still working out what the recent base rate increase(s) mean  :|

Thank you. I'm new to easy access cash ISAs. I've got Santander's eSaver which I raid constantly to funds RSs and other needs as well. Is this a suitable replacement? If by withdrawing and replacing funds I exceed total gross deposits of £20K, does that invalidate the ISA?

@schiff You need a flexible ISA.  Anything you pay in and subsequently withdraw in the same tax year is not counted.

    For example, https://www.skipton.co.uk/savings/isas/easy-access

(I have been using Skipton all year as you cen deposit by debit card.)

Is the bonus just for the fixed rate accounts?

    Thanks

Yes. From their isa transders page:
"Get a £50 e-voucher when you transfer in a non-Santander ISA of £10,000 or more to one our fixed rate ISAs"

Yes, that's correct with Santander's Cash ISAs, none of which are currently flexible - also refer Nick_C's post above.

    From Santander's ISA T&Cs:
"We aren’t offering additional flexibility on ISAs but some providers are offering this feature. Those providers may allow you to replace funds that you have withdrawn with them without affecting the ISA limit."
