YBS have launched a loyalty six-access ISA at 4%. The ISA is flexible but can only be opened by those who have held a YBS account for at least the last 12 months.
Is this 'currently held' account any YBS account or specifically a YBS ISA?

    Per website:
To be eligible to open a Loyalty Six Access Saver e-ISA Issue 2 you must have had an open account (Savings or Mortgage) with Yorkshire Building Society as either a Main Holder, Other Holder or Trustee for at least the 12 consecutive months prior to applying and already be registered for online access.

Anyone planning to get the YBS ISA, don't leave it too long.

I've been a member of the Society for more than 15 years, but because I opened a new account and closed an old one on the same day less than a year ago, I can't apply on line and they are having to send me a form in the post.

I'm keeping my oldest internet saver open because of that. I renamed it to remind myself not to close it.

and it just turned 1 year that account 10 days ago, and my application for the loyalty ISA was ok

Yes, continuous membership is not enough for ybs computers. You must have an account that is at least a year old. Even if you've been a member for 20 years and have allowed a 1 month overlap when changing accounts, all that matters is the age of your oldest currently open account.
