This sounds a pretty good rate, but has barely had a mention.

I was about to transfer into this account - before doing so, is there something I should know?

This is listed on first page of this thread but it's not the top payer!
Coventrys Poppy ISA is top @ 2.6% also on first page, :T to Kazza

I'm still sitting on the sidelines for this years allowance. Having bought a house last year, my only current savings are £880 sitting in a Tesco Instant access ISA at 2.3% (using last years allowance) and £500 in an S&S ISA with Fidelity - opened to secure £100 Quidco cashback.

My budget (which I've brought down to the bare bone to get my emergency fund up to scratch ASAP) allows for savings of £780 per month.

Given my £780 per month budget, my plan is for a Principality Regular Saver ISA at 3% (I'm in Northern Ireland so trying to apply for the 4% one by post would be a bit cheeky) for £480 per month. I'll then open a First Direct Regular Saver at 6% for the remaining £300 per month.

I too have been looking at this account. Unless I have read it wrong can you confirm that
    It accepts transfers in.
Also I can pay this years allowance into it.

    Many Thanks

Yes I know that is higher, but you cannot transfer money in, so no good for me:):)

Well from what I have read you can transfer money in and pay in this current year's allowance.

I am going for it, nothing else as good at the moment:):)

The Santander 2.8% 2-year fixed rate cash ISA is being pulled from tomorrow. The 3% rate for 123 Account owners is unaffected for now. Get in quick.

Saw this on page 1 and never having heard of this bank, I had a look.
The 3% rate is wildly out of step with rates on all it's other sterling accounts (typically 0.1251%, almost nothing) so I can't understand this one.
Curious about a bank that opens on a Sunday afternoon and given that it's a rare sunny Sunday, I went up to town and had a look at their Shaftsbury Avenue branch.
It's right behind China Town and seems to cater to the chinese market (exclusivly?). The bank itself is rather grubby and has no signage in english, inside or outside (not even the word "bank"). No obvious english literature or to be honest any literature at all, other than a tatty typed rate list stuck to the counter. Quite busy with chinese speaking families. The queues were a bit too long for me to speak to any of the staff behind the counter so I can't confirm whether english is spoken or not.

I'll probably give this one a miss.

Wow, just saw some of the posts on the first page from 2007 - talk of 5-6% !! I wish that were still the case. This years rates seem particularly low (although I've only been saving about 3 years...)
    6k in 2012: £4200.00/£6000.00
    6k in 2013: £8209.62/£6000.00
    7k in 2014: £5900/£7000

I said the same when I first found this page!
I'm the same on the length of time saving, my previous ISA savings have been for big purchases.

But that 3% is only payable on balance of £40k+ ;)
