Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List

Probably worth mentioning that the NatWest have done a bait n' switch, and the 3.32% headline rate in the first post is no longer available. The rate has plummeted to a paltry 2.5%, even for balances over 30k.
That's down from the 3.5% they originally advertised. Obviously variable rates vary, but in the circumstances it's a very cynical move on their part, since nobody could realistically have opened the account in time to get the 3.5%, or transferred a balance across in time to get the 3.32%.
Time to look for a fixed rate elsewhere.0 -
This was a tricky-dicky account with a delay at one rate while waiting for the deposit to earn the full rate.
It now seems to be a straightforward ISA (from 18 May) at the lower rate from the get-go.
The ISA season now seems to be in its death-throws. Now or never for best rates, I guess.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Halifax did the old bait and switch on me. Renewed my ISA online at 4.5%, by the time the paper work came through, it was 4.25%, with no notification of any change.
Presmuably Im right to insist on them honouring the rate that was in force when I renewed? I can feel an FOS complaint coming on if they dont....which apparently costs them £500 just for a basic complaint of a few letters!!!!illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Halifax web site says rates are fixed on opening. If the rate had changed before the account was opened then Halifax may not play ball.
Don't quite understand what you mean by "renewed". but it has to be worth trying to persuade them if you're nice to them.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

The Halifax isa saver online has dropped from 3% to 2.75% (when did that happen?)
Daughter went to upgrade her current halifax isa from last year and found this.
She last funded her present halifax isa on 4th April is that counted as this tax year or can she still move her money to a different isa now that shes found that the rate has dropped?
On my own halifax isa I havent funded it this year or last to be honest and theres a cream coloured box at the top of my isa saying click to activate isa but its not on my daughters isa with them so it made me wonder if she can still move it.
She didnt really want to move it but as its dropped she will do nowThanx
