Hi there, I'm looking to put some money away for 2-3 years in a Couple of months. It will be the full ISA ammount. From looking at the list the 3 year Halifax isa looks the best. Is this right? Also will I get the interest yearly? Or get all 3 years interest at the nd of the term?Rebuilding my finances0

Halifax ISA Saver Fixed 4.5% looks about the best 3-yr fix at the moment. Interest is paid annually, on the anniversary of account opening and added to the ISA. You will not be able to access the deposit or interest until the account matures in three years without paying a penalty equivalent to 270 days' interest on the entire balance.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that the account will still be available or at that rate in a couple of months time.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Tried to open a/m ISA, but surprised that only one deposit is allowed!! This is not shown on any of the details, but call centre advised that it is hidden on page 2 of the link Legal Details!! Beware, in my opinion that is rather sharp practice.
I don't know about anyone else, but with all the cash ISA launches it's getting more difficult to decide which one(s) to choose. I thought it might be useful to list the options available in one place, as it makes it easier to compare them and make the right choice(s):

This is now 3.5%, incl 1.5% bonus until 30 November 2013. Known as Flexclusive ISA issue 2
Still same pre-requisities as the original issue.0 -

It is not sharp practice - it's very common with fixed rate / fixed term savings, whether ISA or non-ISA. They usually have a limited pay-in period, and/or limited number of deposits, and this is usually detailed in the T&Cs.
The T&Cs which apply to the Santander ISA you are complaining about are also clearly spelt out in the 2 Year Fixed Rate Major ISA T&Cs which can easily be found online. There is nothing hidden - if you choose not to read the T&Cs, you should expect to be surprised.Funds must be deposited at account opening, unless opened on the telephone or online, where the deposit must be made within 14 days of account opening.
No subsequent additional deposits allowed.0 -
