That's look like a good rate from Leek for a 5 year fixed deal. Tempted!

Earlier in the week I opened a Charter SB EA cash ISA for my OH to try and consolidate 3 ISAs, one an EA, another is Hodge maturing on 22nd and another matures on 11th November. Annoyingly the Hodge one requires signed paperwork, so I don't expect that to transfer immediately after 22nd. The other two will just go through electronically. I wish you could find out in advance which ISAs have paperwork required, or better still they didn't require paperwork at all.

    Leek 5 yr ISA

I had the same 14 day restriction earlier in the year with a Tandem ISA. I queried it with them as I wanted to do a transfer. Totally fine, didn't matter if the transfer took longer, as long as the request to transfer was within the 14 day window. Expect Leek will be similar, but worthwhile checking.

I think what they mean is that they should receive a response from your existing provider within 14 days, it wouldn't matter if the actual transfer takes longer. In my experience (not with Leek but a number of other providers) they want you to initiate your transfer within the funding window. In some occasions the transfers took far beyond the deadline and it was always fine.

I had a fixed account with Shawbrook some years ago (when 2% was a good rate😀), very big gap so I don't have a record of my login details. I had to apply for this ISA as a new customer. Opened on 5th Oct, transfer from Vanquis arrived on 7th Oct. I also received a secure message saying that they've detected that I have 2 profiles and they've merged them.

The oldest account I had with Shawbrook was closed in 2022. Fixed rate of 0.63% for a year………

Wow, that's low for FR. When the base rate was 0.1% (2020/21) the lowest paying account I had was AlRayan's EA at 0.7%, I didn't go for any fixed at that time. Can imagine how frustrating it could be for those who committed to 5 year term at that time.

Lowest I had was Charter Savings at 0.6%. I did have a 5 year fix with Shawbrook at 1.1% but took the hit on the interest penalty to get out when the rates rose.

    Update

Back in may I took advantage of cashback for transfers to LLoyds cash ISA which should have been payable by 30 sep. They didn't pay. Rang them the day after, got bla bla we have backlogs etc. Rang a week after got a nice agent who advised me to complain there with her she upheld the complaint and put 450 smackers in my account within 10 minutes.
