Ah right, as you hadn't mentioned the term, I didn't realise you were looking at the 5 year one.

Do we know what the definition of a new customer is? I closed an ISA with them late October 2025

Shawbrook
If you have an online login, it will not show you these "plus" accounts, only the lower paying options. Even if you don't have any account with them.

I think Shawbrook state that transfers have to be arranged at the time of application.
They are known for sitting on external transfers arranged in advance from their matured fixed rate ISAs for far longer than they should (sometimes weeks), so you'll have to hope that the same thing doesn't happen for internal transfers.
If your fixed rate ISA is maturing soon, one option is to avoid this possibility is to request a transfer into their easy access ISA (so your matured funds don't sit on a derisory rate for any length of time), then open the new account and request the transfer.
From memory I think internal transfers need to be arranged by secure message.

My existing Shawbrook FRISA matures in a few days. I think they gave me maturity options a month before maturity. I opted to transfer to a Shawbrook 5 year FRISA.

I have Shawbrook 5 year fix balance £1100+ paying 4.26% with less than two years to go, was opened speculatively at the time re ability to add further funds during term, I also have 5 year 5.22% fix with them that come April will have 3 years to go to maturity.
Pondering about paying exit fee on 4.26% fix to guarantee minimum 5.25% for new funds April 27 tax year, obviously would prefer new 5 year fix to have as late start date as possible, opening now asking for internal ISA transfer in 90 days time if rates are lower by then would risk Shawbrook saying No.

SHAWBROOK FR ISA'S
Transfers into Shawbrook FR ISA's I've found to be without hassle. Twice now I've requested from outside ISAs yet to mature asking Shawbrook to wait until the maturity date and they have heeded the instruction with confirmation from the sending bank that they are on hold. Once maturity date is reached the transfers have been quick.

Ecology double access 4.65% until 30th Nov 2027.
Doesn't allow transfers in though.

Use MSE calculator to work out if it's worth ditching.
What is your penalty for existing? I suspect you will end up slightly worse off trying to move it (I switched my 4.05% 5 Year fix to the new 5.25% fix and it only just worked out as slightly better to switch over once you took into account penalty).
