Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List

Plum most certainly can use the Cash ISA Transfer Service (formerly known as BACS ISA transfer service). That's how mine was transferred. Some providers may not have kept their lists of compatible providers up to date.

Thanks - it is on the list, but "It's not currently possible for you to complete your ISA transfer request online. This may be because your existing provider is not part of the electronic ISA scheme, or it could be due to the type of ISA you hold." sigh

Plum don't accept postal transfer requests, so another provider is your only option.

Ah, OK. My understanding was that providers like Plum can transfer ISA funds electronically, but aren't listed as using the official electronic ISA transfer service, which has caused people problems when transferring to certain providers in the past.
Tandem have only recently started to offer cash ISAs, so their list of approved electronic ISA transfer providers should be pretty up-to-date. They include other, similar newcomers like Atom and Vida but not Plum, who've been offering cash ISAs a lot longer than Tandem so I wonder what's going on ?

As far as I'm aware, the official electronic ISA transfer service is the only valid way to provide the transfer history documentation electronically. Otherwise it would need to be sent through the post with a cheque. Are you aware of any other HMRC approved electronic transfer services for cash ISAs? My understanding is there is only one.
You say the Tandem list should be up to date, but beside Plum, Trading212 and MoneyBox are missing. Tandem's conditions adds an additional "the account must have a valid UK sort code" condition, which would exclude some providers, notably aggregators like the aforementioned. Perhaps this is the underlying reason why some providers exclude them.

I am a bit lost. Does this mean that I cannot send a paper form to YBS asking them to transfer from Plum?

Just had an email through advertising the ISA voucher offer.
I noticed this bit
"Each eligible transfer could receive a voucher. For example, if you complete a transfer of £20,000 and a second transfer for £40,000 to a different eligible Santander ISA, you could receive a £50 voucher and a £100 voucher"
So does that mean that If I opened for example, 1 x 2yr Fixed Rate and 1 X 3yr Fixed Rate and transfer an account with 10k into both i'd get £50 voucher for each?
As another question kinda related…..what are you guys feeling comfortable with for fixed rate terms? I'm somewhat wary of locking into anything over 3yrs, it just feels a long time. I think 2 or 3yrs is my sweet spot at the moment, on the other end of the coin I'm not really interested in 1yrs at the moment.

I believe that's correct:

Hmm. I am not sure that paper form means they will submit it to Plum on paper as well. It makes no sense to have them on the list and not to accept tranafers at all. Oh well, there is nothing to loose but time.

Plum's ISA T&Cs blow my mind. They are full of trip hazards and opaque terms. I am not usually shy about accounts that sound interesting, but I do make an exception for Plum and just stay clear of them completely.
