I did. But it was the smackaroonies for current account switch, which had the same payment deadline of 30 sep. I thought they may be early with the cash isa too.

I've given up on the isa cashback and moved elsewhere with higher interest and cashback.

Moneybox does not permit a new ISA to be opened if you already have an ISA account with them - nothing to do with the limit per financial year.

They don't even allow a new ISA if you have transferred out the full amount, and have closed your ISA, even if that ISA is from a prior tax year. They only allow one ISA ever, in your entire lifetime.

I find this to be odd, but as long as what I have deposited is safe I have nothing to complain about really. I'm very risk averse but stuck my neck out and got a 1yr variable product, how's that for living a little 😎

I'm wondering how long they can keep this up ? As we all transfer out of Moneybox after their bonus rates expire, how does their ISA buisness progress ?

At some point they'll run out of customers so will have to reconsider

I think I read elsewhere that it is some kind of technical limitation. Like everybody said. they'll run out.

Also the case when transferring out of Tembo!

My current transfer has just completed, so Tembo will now join Moneybox in the Cash ISA graveyard!

Tembo do a mortgage broker service. So I think the idea is they want people saving for first homes, who'll then use the mortgage broker service. The ISAs are their loss-leader product.
