kerry honey, chin up girl. We'll help you out. I've dropped from nearly 13 stone to 11 1/2stone. it's taken a while and I can't go mad as i am still breastfeeding baby, but honestly just being able to write what i was helps me get it into my head that i was too overweight! I am not doing weight watchers, SW etc. I just decided one day after reading here that i needed to get motivated & that's what i did. Don't forget you need to get yourself in the right frame of mind first though.

  • I know you are right. Its the whole frame of mind thing. I am sitting here looking at my rolls and its not nice. Maybe its those three doughnuts I had today.

I have stayed the same again this week. Knew I would as I haven't tried this week! I can't complain though as my culottes fit great and I've definitely lost inches!

  • Hello everyone,
I've just found my way over here from OS. I've been on a sponsored slim since May and have only lost 10lbs so far.

At first I was really motivated and did loads of excercise but it didn't seem to help much and I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle.

I still have another 2 stone to go so any advice on how to get things moving again would be gratefully appreciated.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I know just how you feel. have you tried buddying up with someone to do some exercise even walking helps. We swim, walk, cycle and shop (this burns calories if you walk lots) and also go to one exercise class a week together so we have to go!

Also don't buy chocolate, crisps, snacks etc and have veg cut up in the fridge as well as fruit. If you haven't got any you can't eat them.

    Good luck and get going.

Ps A dog is also very useful as you have to walk them at least once a day.
My cousin got a dog walking job for 30 mins after school plus walking home and lost 1 stone in 6 months with no other changes.

Hi bindyboo, forgive me - I was just running in to post a quick 'I'm back in the hotel this week so won't be around until later in the week' when I saw your request. If no one has helped you by the time I get back I'll nip on and list some stuff as I have all 3 supermarket books. But Don't forget the syns online at the SW website, password last Tuesday which should work for another week is 'spinach'. At club on Tuesday make sure you ask for the website password as it is really a useful way to syn newer foods which aren't in the books and heck any foods when you're too lazy to dig out your books like me ;)

See you all later guys, and good luck, I'm going to ask the hotel for salads for lunch and eat 'off the menu' (as in not on it) with a normal salad no fancy dressings and some tuna or chicken or something - definitely no choc chic biscuits this time around!

PS bindiboo - tell me some stuff you don't like as that'll narrow my search :) also stuff you like?
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

    hi

i have been using the online service, great isn't it? Its a pity they don't have a chat room for fellow slimmers.

All i can remember is that the "in the can" book had little life savers in it last time i did this plan, but i know that alot of it is now not included in the new plan.

just a quick list of anything nice would be a help
  • Hello everyone! Just thought I'd join in :) I'm following the Weight Watchers 'No Count' diet, but without actually joining WW (borrowing books off others). Start weight: 12st 4
    Week 1: 11st 13
    Week 2: 11st 10

I've not felt hungry at all, and by saving up my 'treat' points, I can easily polish off a bottle of wine at the weekend and still lose weight!

It seems to be saving me money too, as you have to cook everything from scratch. So, I cook up a recipe for 4, and we eat this over 2 days - saving time cooking on alternate days too.

I'm now looking throught the Old Style forum for ideas on how to make cheap meals too....

    I'll be back!

Ok so here I am......again.....

I don't just want to lose weight, I've got too. I feel awful, tired and clothes are starting to feel tight and I feel really unattractive.
    I'm tired of making excuses.
I'm going to start doing Slimming World again tomorrow. Going to do it on my own (I have about 4 sets of books  )
And if I can't stick to it I'm going to join a class.
I'm also going to join the local gym. It's only £20 a month for unlimited exercise classes...
Of course I just know my husband is going to scoff and laugh at me, so I have to be brave and ignore him...
    Here's to perseverence!!!
