Ok so here I am......again.....

I don't just want to lose weight, I've got too. I feel awful, tired and clothes are starting to feel tight and I feel really unattractive.
    I'm tired of making excuses.
I'm going to start doing Slimming World again tomorrow. Going to do it on my own (I have about 4 sets of books  )
And if I can't stick to it I'm going to join a class.
I'm also going to join the local gym. It's only £20 a month for unlimited exercise classes...
Of course I just know my husband is going to scoff and laugh at me, so I have to be brave and ignore him...
    Here's to perseverence!!!

    Hi Sallypurple,

If you want to lose weight, all you have to do is move more eat less. In my situation, I was 97 kilos in June/July 2005 and I am now 71 kilos exactly (Still want to lose another 6 kilos, so still not there).

I cycle from Edgware North West London to Paddington in the morning and vice-versa after work. During the day, I have no food, this includes breakfast or lunch and the weight has just been flying off.

Now, I am not recommending that you do not eat any food, as this was the best way for me, but I would recommend that you severely reduce your calorie intake during the day and try cycling to and from work (depending if it is feasible).

I think that's the saddest thing I've read on this thread, Frankie! Can you tell your old man that if he doesn't want to support you, actively, then could he please have the common decency to keep his gob shut? To scoff and laugh at you is not just unkind and unnecessary, it's downright abusive, IMO.

  • slimmers world is fab for folks that want to feel full up (like me) My cousin has lost 5 stone on it and gave me some tips. I have been fat in the past but now try and curb my weight, I followed her ways and lost 6lb in 6 weeks. back to 9 stone again. I never felt hungry or denied, its really good.
  • Yippee! Week 3: -3lb = 11st 7lb. I WILL be below 11st before Christmas......

My fella is like that. I think it's because he has heard me go on about how I am starting a diet (again) so many times. It's no excuse though especially as he is trying to lose weight too.

Well here I am again, I can't remember when I last posted butI have put more pounds on than I have lost. Started again last week and am so pleased I have lost 2lbs. I have a couple of evenings to do exercise this week so that will be me infront of the telly with an aerobics dvd on!!

Good luck to everyone - I am going to have a read of recent posts on this thread to see who everyone and what their story is.

please can i join you lot for some moral support?

I've always been on the heavy side, but lost 5 stone about 4 years ago using the weight watchers points system & doing a lot of excersise (gym about 5 times a week). i also didn;t eat wheat for a long time, which helped. sadly, i moved areas, didn;t settle into a gym, stopped eating so carefully and the weight has crept back on (though i'm still a stone and a half below my 'original' weight...)

so i am really now trying to shift some (though not all - don;t want to be quite so thin) of it, by healthy eating and excersise), and i'd love to be able to chat to / be accountable to some other people! i am currently swimming 3 times a week, and hope to add a couple of classes / gym visits to this.

i got weighed last Thurs (at the gym) and was 12st 7lb.

    thanks :) Rachel
