well done velvetglove, you should be chuffed with yourself!

I have joined the cambridge Freecycle after seeing it on here. Cambridge is about 20 miles away but nearest freecycle to me, the only one in Suffolk is in Ipswich, which is nearly 50 miles away! Lots to be had and I may finally get rid of plenty of duvet covers etc.

Lost a total of 13.5lb in 7 weeks I think. I think that was about 2 lb off this week, but may be 1.5, not sure, sort of lost it this week.

Oh well done you. I am thoroughly depressed, to the extent of thinking of buying new scales: have been away for a week, and although I was walking an awful lot it seems I have put on HALF A STONE! I just can't believe it, tried moving the scales all over the bathroom to see if that helped, hopped on and off them several times but no joy, they are adamant! Could have cried ...

    Savvy_sue, I'm sorry! I bet it's just because it's turned to muscle.

I suffer from IBS and find sometimes that I can put on 1/2 stone overnight. I weigh myself after I have given daughter her 1st breastfeed of the day as this can make a 1lb or so difference.

Don't get disheartened I bet you will do fine next week. Good luck.

Nice loss jenpoptab :) I bet you are dead chuffed with yourself over that!

Sue, I'm with jenpoptab on this one, I think all the exercise has toned some of your muscles and it just means that you'll be a more efficient calorie burning machine now :) Keep your chin up hun! I'm sure this is only temporary and next week you'll see a better result on the scales.

I went to club tonight and stayed the same which is a bit disappointing but I'm still determined and won't give up. Now she told us the password this week but I'll be jkiggered if I can remember it! We talked about so much stuff tonight I can't remember - am I getting senile?

Fingers crossed for next week as I'm aiming for that 2lbs so I can say a sotne is gone! Good luck folks :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

  • Hi everyone Im back.

    This weeks password is pasta.

I have had my op and I have been home for a week now and I am pleased to tell you I am now cancer free. They removed my womb cervix and ovaries. They also took some lymph nodes from my leg as a precaution but it was all contained within the lining of the womb and has not gone anywhere else. I have to have radiotherapy for a while purely as a precaution but who cares.
Thanks to everyone for the lovely messages of support so its back to the old routine and getting back to Slimming world.

One request if you are due a smear test please go. If you have any worries regarding heavy periods PLEASE go and see your doctor. I went and found my cancer early. Dont leave it till its too late.

Enough of the lectures Lets get going

    Love Linda

Glad you are well Linda12, good advice re: smear! Hope you are looking after yourself.

I stayed the same this week. Was quite pleased as I thought it may be a gain as I was a bit piggy over bank holiday.

I don't know if this is the right place to post, I hope so. I really need some help.

I'm 5'6" and about 11 stone. I used to be 9 stone, so I look hugely overweight. In the last 10 years from the age of 20 to 30, my hair has turnd grey, I'm overweight, and I have walking difficulties. I don't know who I am anymore.

I desperately want to lose weight, but I'm lost. Just totally lost.

I'm trying to eat as few calories as possible, but it's not working. So I've read eat little and often - fair enough, but I don't always feel hungry and eating when I'm not makes me feel sick.

I've tried Paul McKenna, but it didn't work.

I'm not the sociable type to go for meetings, plus I can't drive or walk to my local one.

I can't live with my weight this high anymore, I keep breaking down about it. I feel ugly, nothing fits me. I saw holiday photos of me recently, and it shocked me so much.

I don't know what to do. Nothing works. If I deprive myself of biscuits etc I get depressed because I stopped smoking last year and feel that cake and biscuits are all I have to feel better (I know that sounds stupid)

I desperately need some help, advice - point me in the right direction of sensible but effective weightloss, please?
