Cas - Thanks for the good luck vibes, but I got the date wrong and it is next Friday  so at least I have a few more days to study!

Purdy, not sure if you already know this or if you didn't manage to get to the class but if you go here then that should take you to a post I made earlier in this thread about the classes when I used to attend. Hope that helps :)

I did go to the class and paid £9.25 for the class and to register. TBH Im not sure its for me. I am currently taking Xenical as well as going to the gym 3x a week. For me to go on the SW diet I would have to stick to green days only. I dont see the point in doing half a diet so Im gonna check out Weight Watchers while thats free to register. I am not giving up in the least !

I had such a busy weekend catching up with things that I didn't get a chance to post! Amazingly happy as I lost 3lbs this week :) So it has helped I think that my parents are also following the SW diet and we are keeping each other on the straight and narrow.

Well done sleepy *high five* nice weight loss :) Even though you bought the biscuits at least thought went into it and you bought the small packet. I don't think the occasional blip will hurt when you are being good the rest of the time. Just make sure that the blips don't outweigh the times you are following your eating plan carefully.... ;)

VixxAnn I'm not sure what to suggest really. It could just be your body is adjusting to the change and getting ready for a reshape, or it could be that without 'particulary dieting' you have started to eat a bit more as after all, you are exercising 3 times a week... This could be having a cancelling out effect for the work you are putting in at the gym, or as Savy_Sue would say, you might be putting more calories in than you are expending in the exercise! Something to maybe think about? I know I feel justified eating something extra if I've done a few workouts and it's funny how I can make the same bit of exercise account for 3 or 4 different treats ;)

If you are happy counting calories then do that and see what happens, but do try to keep a written food diary of the stuff you are eating as that way, when you have a successful weight loss week you can examine what was so great about it and repeat it! Can you find out how far away our nearest RC class is? If it isn't too far then perhaps you could make an evening out of it.

Purdy - You say about doing half a diet but I tend to find I stick to mostly green days as they just seem more appealing to me at the moment. But hey, give WW a look and see if that fits in with your lifestyle better - be rude not to seeing as it's free to register ;)

Hope everyone has a really good week this week.

Good to know it's not just me then!

VixxAnn, might be worth having a look at the DASH Eating Plan I flagged up a few posts back, previous page only so not too far to hunt! At least for a food diary, I still think it would be easier to tick a few boxes than to write everything down.

I am trying not to think about my weight: it's going up and down like my blood pressure. Plus the tablets make me feel woozy, or I'm having a woozy week and just blaming the tablets, so getting out and walking is as difficult as speaking coherently!

See my post on Aquamassage over on the Health Board.

Could be good for those who don't want to shell out on new clothes just yet. Some of their programmes are supposed to be fat busting, but I just went for a relaxing one!

NB It would be worth checking the form to make sure you aren't excluded by any medical condition: if you are then you may need a letter from your GP. Mine was fine about giving me one.

Hi again - thanks for advice peeps :T

I have decided I will start a "proper" diet (after the Bank Hol weekend as we are going away!!). Currently my favoured one , although I have never done it before, is the slimming world red and green days as from what I've heard its sounds like you can eat a lot and don't really need to get into measuring things out - is this true?

Any advice from SW dieters appreciated. I don't think i will do classes as I've already paid up for my gym membership and I cannot spare any more money each week towards this cause (although very worthy I think ;) )

Hoping to get enough details off here and the SW website to get me going on it next week.

Very happy today, as I've lost another 3 pounds this week, making it 9pounds lost in three weeks :j . I know that this will probably slow down soon, but for the moment I'm really pleased.

I went shopping on Friday for some summer clothes (spending only the money I'd made on ebay 2 weeks ago by selling my old clothes I didn't like), and had dropped a dress size :D , and the sun was shining!

Hope everyone else has had a good week.

From Lloyds Pharmacy, while stocks last, £2.49 instead of £9.99. Have found it much more (depressingly) accurate than my freebie.

But I do recommend one for those of you wanting to monitor your calorie expenditure as well as (or even instead of!) your intake!

PS Managed to squeeze into a pair of M&S trousers two sizes smaller than usual on Saturday. Black silk, but stretchy as well, reduced in the sale. Worth never eating again for ...

Nice going everyone with weight loss this week! I weighed on Saturday and had lost another 2lbs so things are going well again for me :)

Linda - you have loads going on at the moment and I doubt you can spare the time to eat properly with all the last minute dashing around so keep your chin up! Thanks again for the password. Happy birthday for Thursday and I hope that things go well next Saturday :)

VixxAnn - have a good read on the website - but basically you need to have 1 or 2 choices from the A 'boxes' then 2 choices from the B 'boxes each day. Then between 5-15 syns per day depending on how much weight you have to lose.

Red day = unlimited amounts of meat/fish - cooked without extra fat and with all visible fat & skin trimmed. Any pasta, potatoes or rice today will need to be weighed and either counted as B box items or deducted from your syns.

Green day = unlimited amounts of pasta, potatoes and rice. Any meat/fish today will need to be weighed and either counted as B box items or deducted from your syns.

There are syn free foods applicable to either red days, green days or joy-of-joys free on either day! (MullerLight yoghurts for example are free on either day) Until you get used to syn values you'll probably spend a lot of time looking things up on the online syn calculator - it would be easier if you knew someone and could borrow their book for a couple of weeks to get you into the diet though, as it can be a lot to take on board initially. Or perhaps go to club once to get the book and the intro talk for how it works? That may be easier than doing it from scratch with no previous knowledge, but perhaps I've given you enough to get you started - Good Luck!

Hope everything goes well for everyone this week :)

thanks velvetglove for my happy birthday wishes. I am not sure if I want to be this old but I guess I have no choice.

The Password for the SW website is together. Rather apt seeing as it is my sons wedding on Saturday. I will think about slimming again after the weekend although I did lose half a pound this week.

Have a great week and I will see you all soon
