Great news about the half a pound off! I only managed a pound this week and I think it's because I let my fruit and water intake drop off considerably where I was so busy at work. At least it is still going in the right direction though! I am working towards being a lot less visible for a close friends wedding which is in August 2006 - so at least I have a decent amount of time to build towards it!
Take care everyone & Linda, thanks for the password again this week!Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
What does the password to the Slimming World website give you access to?
Do you have to be a SW member to be able to use it?0 -
Hi Chris 25
Anyone can log onto the SW website and get help with recipes books etc but if you use the password it takes you to a page where you can do a food diary, find out the sin values of different foods, plot your own progress chart and many other things. It is free and I usually post the password each week as it changes every week. Any problems get in touch and I will help you out
Good Luck
The password for this week is celebrate
My sons wedding went without any problems last Saturday and everyone had a good time. Now I have no excuse I have got to get back into it although I did manage to stay the same this week which is a miracle in its self.
Hope everyone has a good week and I will see you all soon

Just finished a book called something like "confessions of a reformed dieter" by A.J Rochester. I would thoroughly recommend it (I got mine from the library so a bit more money saving going on!)
Its very funny, shocking and all true plus its very good inspiration - says me after having lost NO weight for the last few weeks - however I do feel more inclined to eat healthily and exercise more after reading this book. (thats basically how she lost 40 kilos - don't know what that is in stones - in just less than a year)
have a look at it if you can;)0 -
I have completely lost focus and have been slowly putting weight ON!!!!!!!!!!
Dear hubbie helpfully pointed out that they were forecasting a very hot summer and that if I stayed as heavy as I used to be then I would be in a lot of distress!
Hated this at the time - but he does have a point. So decided to try to get back on track - do more walking etc.
Feel really depressed and a failure:eek:"This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Elona - I know just how you feel, I posted a similar thing about 10 days ago, just putting weight on in the end:o
I had lost all motivation as well.
Met up with some of my friends this week , it was a sunny day and they all had their lovely slim jeans and short T-shirts. I felt a right frump in my long sleeve tunic top (although I am actually younger than most of them - which is really depressing!) I think it did help to spur me on , the thought of not being able to wear summer clothes without total embarassment.
so hopefully I am now back on track, plus I read the book I mentioned above and I think it has helped motivate me.
Chin up and keep going, by the way - my husband cannot do right for doing wrong if he speaks about my weight0 -
Have just started yet another diet - hate to think how many I've done over the years. Why is it when you stop dieting, you end up putting more weight on and end up heavier than when you started
I get depressed walking through the Per Una section of M&S. I think next season's summer collection will be in store before I'll be able to fit into something
But on a positive note, I've had the most delicious fresh fruit salad for lunch - almost all reduced prices from Tesco- with a whole baby pineapple to myself :drool:0 -
I've read that book, it really is great. She's brutally honest in parts (at one point she tells how she got so big she struggled to wipe her bottom!) and I found it really motivating.
I stayed the same weight last week, which was dissapointing as I'd tried really hard, I even turned down dessert when I went for a meal out with my friends.
But I've lost another 2pounds this week which is great. It means I've lost 11 pounds in a month!!!0 -
Didn't get around to posting over the weekend as my boyfriend was over with me and as I hadn't seen him for 6 weeks was a bit too busy to spend much time on the computer
Got weighed on Saturday and lost 1lb this week so still slowly going in the right direction. Haven't been to the gym in ages but at the moment work is so hectic and I'm having to do a couple of hours of work each evening to prepare for the next day - so I'm persuading myself that it isn't my fault I haven't been to the gym as I'm too busy! If I went then I wouldn't have time to do all the prep I need to and that would be a majorly bad thing.
Trying to concentrate on the fact Summer is looming in the horizon and I want to be able to wear clothes that I won't be baking hot inside... Also trying to persuade myself that my lunchtime salad is the best thing ever, but starting to tire of salads so will have to have another shake up of my food before I start to get that 'I'm missing out' feeling.
Linda - that's great news that you managed to maintain this week, after all it was pretty hectic for you I bet with your birthday and the wedding to gear up for. Nice one
VixxAnn I think I'll have to look out for that book as it sounds like one of those books you read and just end up nodding and agreeing with. If it is motivational as well then that can only be a good thing!
Elona, don't fret pet! How can you be a failure? You haven't failed at anything. You have noticed that you haven't been losing the weight and it sounds as if you are psyched up and ready to jump into the battle of the bulge againHonestly, sometimes that little devil in our heads like to make us feel all down and miserable so that you end up comfort eating and feeling worse - slippery slope... You tell that little voice that you are not a failure and that you are just having a brief rest-stop on the way to road to where you want to be.
Chris, I've had the same thing for the whole of my life. I go on a diet and end up weighing more than I did when I started the darn thing! I blame it on my fat cells overpowering my brain and making me eat stuff that I shouldn't. The main thing here though is that you aren't letting it beat you. You do keep trying to lose weight and that is your lifeline. Hold onto the thought of why you want to lose weight and keep visualising that everytime you get tempted to just have one little slice/portion/nibble/lick/whateverFresh fruit salad is gorgeous though, especially when the weather is warmer and it tastes so light and refreshing.
Sleepy, that's fantastic news about your weight loss, well done you!It sounds like the weight loss from not having the desert decided to wait a week to keep you in suspense!
Good luck for this week everyone and thanks for the password LindaSad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
I fell off the skinny wagon and prob. put on all I had lost - hoping to start again now that my life is a bit quieter!
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
