Does anyone know the best time to weigh yourself?

I'm planning on just having a weigh-in once a month but want to pick the right time, if you know what I mean...

I just pop in now and then.... :)

Thanks for the heads up on the Yogi brand Throat Comfort tea bags - I'll see if I can see them in Holland and Barratt when I pop in there next. The infection has gone now and it has just left me with a stupid dry tickly cough which the doc warned me might be around for a few weeks, so anything that will help is good on that front!
I would be surprised if you find the Yogi tea bags in H&B: I don't think I ever have. If you can find a slightly more alternative health food shop that would be a better bet. PM me your address if you can't and I will post you as many as weigh less than 60g!

My DR says once a month. Women might find their weight shoots up around their cycle time. My practice nurse told me that it can be as much as half a stone, which is usually excess fluid.

Personally I prefer to be weighed weekly. I find it motivating to know all the hard work is working and worth it. I might give up after 2-3 weeks if I didnt have the incentive to keep it up.

Thanks for the offer of the bags by post Savvy_Sue :) I'll be having another look this week and I may take you up on that if I still don't have any luck. You were right I didn't see them in H & B...

Got weighed this morning and lost 1lb this week. Was expecting a little more but at least it is in the right direction still. I'm still doing Slimming World with red & green days but not with a club, I've managed to save £500 in my 'new Clothes & Treats' savings account by putting the money I would have paid at a club into a savings account. Also I forgot to mention, for Christmas my parents bought me one of those packages where they give you a makeover and take some photos that are then yours (not one of those rip off ones where they pressure you into buying more pics than you want, this one was off a shopping channel apparently), so I am working towards booking that later this year when I have lost a lot more weight and feel more comfy in front of a camera! Also, I need to re-do my critical illness cover so I'm hoping that when I go for a quote towards the end of this year I may not have to have an 'overweight' policy loading on it :)

Good luck peeps and I hope everyone else has a successful weigh in this week.
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

Actually you'll have to wait until I've found some more myself, have drunk them all while suffering from the sore throat from hell brought on by shouting at my son! Mind you I'm sure it was heading my way anyway because I really don't believe my little outburst should have led to me needing antibiotics ... (where ARE the smilies these days? ???)

Anyway, Liquorice tea bags are nearly as good as the throat comfort, there is lots of it in the throat comfort, adding a spoonful of honey also helps.

The only GOOD news is that because I've been tucked up in bed or in front of the tv for 2 days barely eating and not even fancying biscuits or chocolate I have LOST SOME WEIGHT! Only 2lb to go to be overweight and not obese, surely I can do it soon, especially as I agreed this morning that decapitation as a cure for my ills sounded quite attractive ... ie I still don't want to eat.

Anyway, hope the rest of you can do better than me without dying in the process ....

Sue - if you goto this thread you will see a guide has been set up - basically it depends what you have your 'interface' set to as to how/where the smilies are. I have the WYSIWYG interface so I have a little click button with a :) smilie on it and a drop down with other smilies. It is next to the text colour dropdown choice, but read the thread as it is super clear with screen prints and everything ;)

I hope you feel better soon, I'm over my cold & bronchitis and just have a touch of the cough hanging around!

Oh thank you so much, I have felt too ill even to spend a lot of time on MSE, must be bad. I thought it was probably something simple like that. Have now gone enhanced. ;)

OK, still fancying decapitation, but that is because we have had a fashion show tonight to raise money for and awareness of the charity I work for, so I have been out too long today. BUT I have come home with The Most Stunning Trousers in a size too small, so they will not sit in the wardrobe and reproach me, they will hang and encourage me. Oh Yes They Will! :D
