bridiej - *scold mode activated* Under no circumstances get weighed at intervals of less than a week! Your body fluctuates around so much on a day to day basis that this will just serve to raise your hopes but more than likely really put you on a downer if you see you haven't moved or have maybe gone up a pound or two. You have an official weigh in day I see of Monday mornings, resist the temptation to get on those scales on anything other than a Monday morning and you will feel so much better *end of scold mode*

I have now decided to just do it once a month as having been careful all week and doing regular exercise (bearing in mind that previously I have never done ANY exercise what so ever) my weight is up to 13stone 2lb!!! :-[ :'(

So, am going to weigh myself on the 4th of every month and see if this will be better rather than having these fluctuations which make no sense whatsoever and just get me depressed... :-/

Also, I thought by putting my weight in my signature it will be more of an incentive to lose it!! :)

I just pop in now and then.... :)

Well, good and bad news I suppose, weight this week 13 stone (yes, I know, said I wasnt going to do it every week...)

Have now decided to go onto Weigh****chers again, seemed to be the only way I lost anything substantial, and keep up the regular exercise.

Will do it one way or another! :)

Let's see if I can work out how to post on the new fangled boards :)

Got weighed on Saturday morning and found I had stayed the same this week so no movement either way. I guess my body is making up for the big losses of the last couple of weeks & also the Night nurse and throat sweets are kicking into the calorie equation a little.

Thanks for the heads up on the Yogi brand Throat Comfort tea bags - I'll see if I can see them in Holland and Barratt when I pop in there next. The infection has gone now and it has just left me with a stupid dry tickly cough which the doc warned me might be around for a few weeks, so anything that will help is good on that front!

Hoping this will show up ok - :D (seem to have lost a few hundred of my post count as well which is a bit weird!)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

Hi.......my first time in this thread. I have just started on the Atkins diet. I had tried it before halfheartedly but am determined to stick to it this time.

In asda the other night all Atkins vitamin packs were half price. 14 day starter kit is £9.95 and accel are £4.95.

Has anyone tried these and are they any good.

HELP The signatures are not mine, have no idea where they came from or how to get rid of them.

    Any ideas? Thanks

I had the same problem! Go into User CP (along tab at the top), then edit signature and delete and/or add another one.

(Not too sure I like the "Senior Member" that's appearing under my name either!).

  • Hi there, have had an e-mail from Rick Gallop (GI Diet book guy), I e-mailed him when I was doing really well (gulp, that was ages ago!). Anyway, he is looking for people in greater London who are doing OK on the GI Diet. The Daily Mail want to do interviews. Anyone interested? Drop me a line if you are and I will check how many people he wants and either post his e-mail address, or put you onto him indivicually.
