Well done Jaffa!  Tell me more about how you applied for the free book?  I looked on the Tesco website but it seemed to suggest I pay to register with e-diets?  Keep it up!  I weighed myself at a gym last night, much prefer my scales!  But thought if I use their scales once a week, I will get a truer picture.

bj I think I might just be going mad. Just been on to tesco website and can't see how you can request the booklet without registering - but I'm sure I did this a few days ago. Mind you the pack hasn't turned up yet -so maybe I didn't ??? :-[ I'll let you know if it turns up.

Barneygirl, to find out about GI you could try https://www.prevention.com and follow the links, or google South Beach diet.
Unusually for me, I do think its worth getting hold of a copy of the book. Its realistic and says if you have a bad day, overeat the wrong stuff etc, just forget and get back to eating the way you should be ASAP.

    Good Luck

Well, my attempts to get to Slimming World tonight were scuppered by a combination of t'other half being out and two boys wanting lifts to places. :( One of them could and would have walked, but the other one had quite a bit further to go.

    Never mind, there's next week!

  • Hi everyone. Stayed the same this week at the slimming world class. Never mind it took me years to get to this weight it isnt going to fall off over night. (I wish). At the class our consultant told us about us about 3 new books issued by slimming world but they contain food values from the large supermarkets Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys. I dont know whether they can be obtained by visiting the slimming world website or if they are only available from the class. I will check and put a post on a bit later. Love to you all

I'm gutted, weighed myself on Monday morning (my official weigh in time!) and had lost 4lb from the previous Monday - felt great!

Been doing more exercise this week and eating meals cooked from my Weightwatchers recipe books. Thought I'd have a sneaky peek on the scales this morning - says I'm back up to 13 stone!!!!!!!!!! :o

    HOW?? ??? :-[ :'( :-/

I just pop in now and then.... :)

  • Could be lots of reasons why the weight is there this morning. Water retention? Do you need a no. 2? Might be a build up of muscle (which weighs more apparently).

Dont give up, and don't be tempted to get on the scales again until Monday. I dont have a set of scales at home so cant be weighed until the weigh in at work.

I got on the scales with trepidation as it was my daughters birthday yesterday - I lost three pounds - whoopee!!!!

Finally the scale is going the right way. I do not dare weigh myself through the week as all scales seem to differ so I really dread Thursday evening.
