I have had a flex account with a debit card for about 3 years bt I have just noticed NW did a credit check now I have appled for this 100 quid which seems a little unnecessary...I think....0

Did you open a new account or just fill in the transfer form?0

i have a flex account with debit card
Does the offer require you to pay your salary into the flex account as well as transfer some DD/SO??
I can credit it with £1000 via various transfers etc
(on the online switching form it seems to ask for employer details/income etc- not filled anything in yet)0 -
Finally got through to the Nationwide on the phone today - after 10 mins of them looking into my account, they admitted that I had done everything required of me but they had overlooked crediting me the £100 incentive payment!!
Due in my account on Monday, or so they say....0 -

5 working days from when? the transfers form was recieved by them? Whats it supposed to be?
I already have a Flexaccount as my main account, but I applied for a new one online kind of by accident. I thought you could do the transfers bit online - it said click here to switch and by the time I worked out I was applying for a new account I thought sod it, I may as well get a new one, it may work out more likely to get the £100 this way. Transferring STO's etc from an old dormant account elsewhere. My 2nd account has now appeared on my online banking, how long before they credit the £100 do you think? Would you recommend crediting £1000 to it to kick things off or won't it matter as my salary already goes into my existing Flexaccount??0 -
Its supposedly 5 working days from the date they receive your signed forms which instruct which DDs and SOs you want to transfer from the old current account. This comes *after* you've sent the original transfer form (which you can print off from their website). However, my £100 is still pending, well over 5 days since they received the dd/so form. The SOs are now appearing in my Flex account, but the DDs aren't yet - they are still in my old account.
There's no specific need to credit the account with £1000 to trigger the £100 - its all down to the DD/SOs. It just so happened that I sent a £1000+ transfer to my flex account (from cahoot) so I'll tick that box anyway, but i understand it's not necessary.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

Big thank you for this, turns out I had done exactly the same thing (hence the credit check) - NW are sending me out a form for the switching so hopefully can get this back by the 5th and not lose out on the 100 quid...I think....0 -
The 'dormant' concept is not mentioned in the Terms and Conditions any where I can see - just reference to 'main' current account -and there's no definition of one - so it boils down to just 'a current account'.
What do people think about the ethics of this?
I'm thinking of transferring across my Lloyds account (which I opened purely for Save the Change - I got the max!) which is not my main current account. Therefore this could be seen as not really following the spirit of the promotion.
(I would transfer my main current account were it not for the fact that I am in the process of transferring that elsewhere as well!)0 -
There is no spirit of the promotion - I am switching a redundant account with two standing orders set up to me and my wife (I don't want to mess up my existing payments or use this as my main account!) - if they want to offer £100 for the privilege I will take up the offer.

I put my transfer form in the post this morning having setup a few standing orders on a spare account as well.
If they are paying out then rude not to0
