I have a NW Flexaccount but only with a cash card cos they would not give me a debit card. A while ago I transferred my DDs to this account and also have my salary paid into it, as I was just about to apply again for a Flexaccount with a debit card. I have a A+L current account which does not have any DDs. I've just been using it to put money into my A+L savings account.
I have made an appt for Tues morning to open a Flexaccount with a debit card, will I qualify for the £100 if I don't have any DDs or SOs to transfer?
This I don't know for sure, but my guess is if you don't have any direct debits to transfer when they go to actually try and make transfers, they might say, you are not eligible. Does anybody else know this answer?
Myself, I'm playing safe by transferring an old bank account, which was little used, and hastily setting up new direct debits for this account with which to transfer to the new nationwide account. I wasn't going to open a new nationwide flex account, but when I applied online it automatically opened a new account for me. I'm going to transfer everything to that. Meanwhile, I'm transferring my existing flex account to Halifax, and that is going very slowly. They have just written to me to ask for an authorisation form to start the process of transferring which have already given them in branch. Not very impressed. If nationwide do ask me about being existing flex account customer are not being eligible. I will just say that I am transferring to Halifax, but not happy with them (which I am not now!)0 -
I'm going to set up a SO to a savings account so that there is something to transfer0

My partner has a nationwide Cash ISA so qualifies for this offer. MY Q is can we switch her sole account to a joint nationwide account to also include myself (I'm not a customer).
Thanks0 -

Please see my post #59
The £100 credit is called 'Transfer from 1568/SUNDRIES.' and appeared yesterday on my account, after sending out on Saturday the signed list of the SOs/DDs that were supposed to be transformed (all set up in haste the week before:o )iaye carramba!0 -

Does anyone know whether you have to transfer ALL the DDs and SOs on your old account to Nationwide? I only want to transfer a couple, and leave all DDs for bills etc on my old account. Is this possible? (I will be transferring my salary)
(I will be going to ask in branch but can only do this on a saturday morning, doh, so thought I would ask here first).0
