You're a bad example, the pair of you. Here I am steeling myself to declutter today's pair of socks (much mended and truly threadbare) and there you go with incitements to keep them.
;) Shan't. I have 8 microfibre dusters and more rags than you can shake a stick at. So there.:p;)

I know, I'm full of good ideas. Just rubbish with timing:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Jojo:eek: hope you are not too uncomfortable this end of the day.
Babyshoes - a 2011 calender is no use to man nor beast. Chuck.
I have been gradually emptying a crate of [STRIKE]doom[/STRIKE]random paperwork I dumped in there as I cleared other areas a few weeks ago.
I've regularly gone through it, each time, just chucking what felt easy, as a means of coping with the overwhelm.
I finally have reached the bottom and contents in total have either been chucked or filed. I just have a few difficult pieces left - cards I really like mainly.
Think I'll have to find somewhere to keep them til I am ready to let go.
The course sounds exciting BM and something to look forward to.
Re the time travel idea, of course what we are all doing now is time travelling from the future, taking the best decisions re our stuff/hording/life now for the better future we are going to have:D
Good to hear from everyone and hear how everyone is doing even if not good.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Good to hear from everyone and hear how everyone is doing even if not good.Weeeeellll, there's the towelling ones, made from old towels, nicely hemmed on the sewing machine. I use them for cleaning and for mopping up when defrosting the freezer. I have a washload on at the mo and there are at least a couple in there.
(I washed my kitchen floor yesterday and yes, I do want and deserve a putty medal.) :rotfl:
And there's the old teeshirts cut up into bits, just the perfect stuff for using with metal polish. Texture in rags is so important, don't you find?
Then there's bits of old teacloths and clothes in use at the allotment for wiping down tools with oil. A good gardener always takes care of her tools, y'know. :A
I draw the line at socks, however; you may imagine me removing my grey cotton socks later today, to the soundtrack of The Stripper, twirling them around my head seductively and hurling them into the waste bin.Or you may want to get a helping of Acme Mind Bleach to purge that visual.
All together now DaDaDaDAH DaDaDah DUH !Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Dining room finally looks FAB. Ok, there are a couple of dodgy corners, i need real help ...and some boxes we cannot yet unpack have simply been more appropriately sited, but it feels great to have a functional house with rooms maintainable. We have a mountain of stuff to go, and had a paperwork fires today ( three moving Boxes of papers).
Sadly the puppy is unwell so I had to nip off to the vet. Guest room shouldn't take too long tomorrow and a tip run and we are starting to live like humans, for christmas. After Christmas,......gulp.....the box room needs emptying.0 -

My DD made a lovely sock snowman at nursery...:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
