    Well thought i'd update my neglected diary:o
    Not a lot going on. Career change for me with slightly less ££ but more prospects for the future so hopefully the right decision :o
    DH job still going well, first pay day next friday so we'll see what the take home pay is.
    We've worked out that with both of us on basic take home pay we should cumulatively bring in around £2900. This should allow for an additional £500+ to pay off the debts. As my job is partly commission based this (fingers crossed) will go up in the future.

    debts are as follows;
    DH
    CC1
    £831
    SHOULD BE CLEARED AT THE END OF THE MONTH
    ME
    CC2
    £3299 MIN PAYMENTS UNTIL DH CARD IS PAID OFF
    ME
    CC3
    £3781 MIN PAYMENTS UNTIL CC2 IS CLEARED.

    Well, CC1 all cleared :beer:
    Debt now stands at £6948 so going in the right direction :D
    I finally purchased a Humax so goodbye Sky @ £37 per month :mad::T
    DH has managed to get his car insurance down from £430 (renewal cost)a year to just £174!!!! so we have paid that off in 1 go to save interest. :money:
    Also have managed to reduce the house insurance down from the new renewal £24 per month to just £13 per month for the same cover :money:
    Last sofa payment due in January (which has been interest free) so we will be approx £114 a month better off :cool:
    We have also been sticking to a food shopping budget of £100 per week and not a penny over and we have a system going so it's all going to plan.

    Hoping to pay another £500 off the debts in the next week or so, all things going well but we'll see.

    We also have christmas money saved for already so won't have to worry about that either! ( have my christmas pot going)

    Well down another £50 :)
    So, as it stands now have 2 cards;

    CC1 = 3233 OUTSTANDING
    CC2 = 3666 OUTSTANDING

    Still hoping to pay off another £500 at the end of the month fingers crossed!
    DH and I, are looking forward to being debt free so we can start working towards being mortgage free :T

  • Well....just paid off another £670 :beer::j:beer:
    That's it for this month :D £1535 paid off extra this month so i am feeling :D<
    smug :D:cool:
    This :money: debtbusting feels good :cool:
    Next month might be tight and seeing as we haven't been over paying by much lately i am quite pleased.
    On the plus side, we have worked out that we only need £500 from my wages to pay for all the bills, shopping and petrol which is :T so any extra i earn (basic £1600-£2300) can go towards debt and in the future towards our dream holiday in America (2015)it must be 2015 as it is my sons 18th and my mums 60th so it's then or never!
