Memoirs of a Sista.......

Morning - Wow Go you and the 13's.:j:j:j Excellent work Sista. You must be feeling really good about this.
I know what you mean about "could do more" - but hey people still need to live/have a few treats in life. So really really well done.
I know I do not post often - but I am always reading diaries.

Ok, whinge time.......
I've been lurking around the boards (sounds sinister and slightly pervy......) and the amount of PDL threads are starting to get up my nose.
Not the fact that PDL companies exist , as i think they can and do serve a purpose and there is obviously the demand for them. More so that the people getting the loans out default then have a right old whinge and moan about the APR!!!!
For heavens sake, they were all skipping and dancing when they were approved then all of a sudden PDL companies are the devil incarnate! As for the amount of threads with people actively looking to default with no intention of paying back, this makes me :mad:
I am not going to hold any punches if i come across these threads as they are just getting on my wick now.
There's two catagories,;
People who can't pay on time (don't take out in the first place without understanding the repercussions)
and
People who won't pay (feel as if the world owes them a living)
Me and DH work really hard and take full responsibility for our shortcomings and the amount of debt hanging like the proverbial millstone, and we are determined to pay back every last penny we owe by cutting out the luxuries and living on the bare necessities (i feel a song coming on....)
Why are there some poeple out there who don't believe this is how it should be done?
It never ceases to amaze me.
Rant over :T
(I feel better now)

Saved £14pm on our pet insurance too. Tesco wanted £30 pm  at the next renewal, managed to find a better plan for £16pm :T
Very happy with that, i must remember to set up another standing order to one of the cc's for the additional £14.....
Paid out quite a bit on getting the car fixed this month as it's MOT due at the end of March  still in the black and haven't touched the savings so it's still
Hope everyone's having a great Monday.DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
Hi Sista,
Really do agree with you on the PDL's, far too many people out there who thinks the world owes them.
Well done on the Insurance, really shows how important it is to shop around. Fingers crossed on the MOT.

Maybe not so much of the inspiration bit when you read on......:o
So i've just checked the bank and i have £5
Luckily only until tomorrow when DH gets paid though. His hours have been cut so his pay has been less for the past 3 weeks and we're coping........just.
My car needed £95 spent on it and DH said to pay it out of the account without touching the saving pots to see how we cope.
I guess +£5 is better than -£5but it is only a fiver
I've got my eye on a Humax box and as soon as i've got one cheap enough i'll call to cancel Sky and we'll be £36pm better offDEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
