Hey everyone!!!! check me out....does the 14's suit me?? :rotfl::cool:

Big fat no on the PPI front so we're contacting the ombudsman. Fingers crossed.

Just found out we've got a council tax free month next month :T so another £137 can be paid off :T

Just seen your signature Sista, you are doing really well. I don't think I have a free council tax month this year. I think my parents do, if I do get a free month, that will be a bonus and like you extra payment off the debt.

  • Hi all
Things going ok here, couldn't get out to do any big food shop last week so spent way over the odds on essentials from tesco
Dh kindly reminded me that although we have a c-tax free month the water bill is due so wont b able to pay it off the debts:( ah well.
Hope everyone else is ok and not being too badly affected by this dreaded weather. X

  • Update;
Water bill came through and the ctax and little bit i put away in the 'water bill' pot just about covers it :T
Bills came out today so another £600 paid off the debt, will be in the 13's next month :)
I just want it gone now......it's getting on my nerves.....
Had a few birthdays this month and DH is coming up soon. We're just getting a take-away and i'll get him a card. His birthday money from other family will pay for his car tax which is due next month so at least we won't have to worry about that.
Even though we've overpaid on the debts by £500 this month i'm still hoping to be able to pay an extra 50 off at some point this month. fingers crossed.

I hope everyone else is doing ok and the numbers are going in the right direction:)

    13's :j
Not much going on, didn't manage to pay the extra 50 last month as DH car was poorly and had to have some work done on it
It's coming down slowly, a little too slowly if i'm honest. I can't believe it's been nearly a year since our LBM and nearly a year of not using a credit card!! This time next year the end will be in sight and i cannot wait!
I hope everyone else is doing ok....:)

Great to see you in the 13's, :D I know what you mean about it not seeming to go down quickly, but you will get there, and it will be worth it.

That's the thing, it's not on a diary :o if it was fine, but it's just in random woe threads which get right on my nerves!!!:D (it's not you Hidden)
Extra £117 paid on Virgin in general payments so sig has changed again :T (18,372 now)

    Hi guys :)
thought i'd have a quick look back over my previous posts (not all of them as i couldn't be bothered!) and found this one above....
    I remember thinking at the time ' 18,372 :D' now i'm in the 13's i can't believe i was :D and not :( :rotfl:
I will look back over this long old thread of mine when my DFD finally comes around, i might even print it off, to remind me how far i've come on this painful and not very exciting journey :D

We're still chipping away however not quite so committed to saving every last penny as we were at the start i hate to say :o I just have no blummin will power! I know if we really tried extra hard we could easily pay an extra £100 pm off the debts but then i feel we'd miss out on 'life' IYSWIM. Anyhow it's coming down that's the main thing and all CC are locked away. TBH i can't even remember the pin for mine so that's a good thing :)
I'm a massive lurker so have been keeping abreast (ooh err) of things on the DFW board. It's refreshing to see when people whose journey i have followed have become DF and also when newbies come along in the same mess i was in a year ago right at the start of things to come.:)
